Advantages: One off payment for a life times supply of extra channels
Disadvantages: Does't give you access to sports channels, Sky 1 or any movie channels.

Do You Do Digital?

Advantages: It does the job
Disadvantages: Doesn't have Topup TV capabilities

I brought this freeview box back in 2002 while I was working at Stansted Airport. It cost me £84.99 and obviously as I was working in the airport I got it tax free but I remember that at that current time it retailed at around £110. Freeview boxes have come along way since I brought this box so it is slightly outdated but I personally think it is still a great box. Hitachi HDR253 digital TV recorder

Advantages: Good value, 120 hours recording
Disadvantages: No live replay, slow to start-up, slow to pause, poor program guide format

I bought this unit a few days ago, because my old unit died after 5 years. I wouldn't buy another British made unit, because the one just died had many small problems from day one. Advantages: An economical way to get a wide range of channels
