Shakespeare Leonardo Mattress

I was determined to get a new mattress as I had lived with the springs in my old one long enough. Himself wasn't best pleased with this but then paying out for anything worries him but that is why we are so suited. He works and saves, I love him and spend!!!!

So we had been using our old mattress for over 10 years and two body shaped wells had been created each side of the bed (Himself said this was comfy. I did not) and against Himselfs best warnings I went ahead on the mattress hunt. I looked in all the bed shops around where we live and couldn't believe the price of some of them! I didn't want a memory foam but I wanted something firm, comfortable and one you don't have to turn over (Himself gave in and gave me one requirement that it just had to be cheap!).

So I found a mattress that I liked in this Shakespeare Leonardo Mattress in the shop that is 5 minutes up the road from me but at £249 plus £10 delivery I was sure I could get the very same style online for a better price. I searched around for a good while and did a few phone calls to see what the delivery is like to the Isle of Wight but all the cheap prices of mattresses were charging a lot more delivery to get to where I live. So I went all around the houses but in the end called up the very first shop I went to which is just up the road! Typical.

The mattress itself has a pretty basic spec in the fact that it is a 4 foot 6 inch size which is a standard double, it is a 1000 series pocket mattress (which is something to do with the springs I do believe) and doesn't need to be turned. The mattress is topped with a slight layer of foam but is covered in a cotton topper.

Once the mattress arrived I just couldn't wait to get to bed (this did please Himself) and I have to admit to it being rather strange the first night (not with Himself) as I had apparently gotten used to the springs that used to poke in my back (I think it was springs!). After the first night however I really have slept the best I have done in years, much to the disappointment of Himself!

The mattress is firm and sturdy and feels luxurious when laid on. There is a good amount of give in the main area of the mattress but when you wit on the side of it, it doesn't sag at all and is still very comfy.

I really cannot fault it at all and other than updating this review in 10 years time (as you are supposed to change mattresses ever 10 years) I cannot really say how well it is going to fair but seeing as it is firm yet comfy I should think this will be good for a very good while.

For the price which I paid and the overall comfort and quality you get I would highly recommend it and give it a 5 out of 5 star rating!
