Dry and frizzy to dry and frizzyer
Advantages: none Disadvantages: doesn't do what it says and unmanageable hair
I bought this shampoo and conditioner as I was desperate for something to tame my dry and frizzy hair. It was expensive, but I thought well I could at least try it. I paid £22 for the shampoo and the conditioner and couldn't wait for the transformation. Boy was I dissapointed. My hair became even drier, and no, I didn't use too much shampoo. I did exactly what it said on the tin. The conditioner had the same effect. And my hair also became very unmanageable. ... ...different conditioner and the conditioner with a different shampoo to try and see which bottle it was that was causing the trouble. They both caused the same problem.
My report is similar to another one on here. I just wish I hadn't wasted my money. The bottles are sitting there now, never to be used again, but as they were so expensive I am loath to just throw them away. I won't be buying them again. ...

Soft, Shiny locks!
Advantages: leaves hair shiny, soft and manageable Disadvantages: expensive and can be hard to find
This shampoo is brilliant! Before using this shampoo, my hair often got really dry and brittle, but now my hair is softer, shinier and a lot easier to manage. The downside to this shampoo is that it is quite expensive and it is only sold in salons. As you only need a small amount of shampoo every time you wash your hair, the shampoo lasts me about three to four months,so I think it is well worth the extra expense. If used with the conditioner, my ...

Extreme Repairs
Advantages: smells nice, works Disadvantages: pricey
...brands but I settled for Redken as they are used in my salon and have a great reputation.
Redken was founded in 1960 by an American actress called Paula Kent. They became big as a company by introducing the concept of protein reconditioning. They soon started to develop patented technologies which they now have up to 60 of worldwide. So on, they built up a brand which today is worldwide known and salon trusted with many salon’s choosing to use Redken ... ...the different sub ranges of Redken are colour packaged so that you know where you are buying them from. The range I have been using is the ‘Extreme’ range which is in the blue bottles. They are in a royal blue plastic bottle which is easy to see the levels of. The front of the bottle just has the Redken logo on it, it comes in a 300ml bottle which is actually not a bad size compared to other brands. The Extreme range is particularly aimed at distressed ...

My Redken Revolution. Part 1
Advantages: quite good results Disadvantages: very pricey
...some more upmarket potions.
REDKEN – The Brand
I went for Redken because the name amused me. I guess I am still a political animal although I long since gave up any such affiliations but this name immediately conjures up thoughts of Mr Livingstone, the ex Mayor of London, who is no longer the most hirsute individual! Meandering through my mind came the thought that the range should be renamed and relaunched as Blue Boris but considering the untamed ... ...strategy! Of course Redken has no such political connections but is a combination of the names of the founders of the hairdressing empire Paula Kent, an aspiring actress in the 60s, and her hairdresser Jheri Redding. Having discovered she was extra sensitive to many of the hairdressing and cosmetic preparations of the day, Paula working with professional stylists to produce preparations which were effective but gentle. They came up with protein based ...
