From the original creator of LCD technology comes another first - a 32" HD-ready 1080p LCD TV. The Sharp Aquos LC-32X20E was purposefully designed with gamers in mind. In addition to ordinarily providing unparalleled picture quality the LC-32X20E may also be optimised for gaming at the touch of a button. It allows for HD-sharpness and a faster response time needed by many gamers. As well as a beautiful, elegant, slim-line design and with exceptional picture and sound quality, the LC-32X20E comes with the easily recognizable piano lacquer-black finish of Sharp's products.
Most gamers who own a Play Station 3 or Xbox 360 often do not realise just how much of the processing power and high end graphics capabilities of their consoles are never being revealed. Using its HD-ready 1080p resolution, the 'game mode' of the LC-32X20E ensures that the full potential of any console is unlocked - this combined with the smallest time lag on the market between command and screen means the LC-32X20E provides the best possible picture quality and gaming experience at a relatively cheap price.
In addition to producing HD (high definition) on-screen performance, the LC-32X20E also possesses a remarkable response time of just 6m/s and a dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000:1. This essentially means that the image quality is, in-a-word, spectacular. Reproducing scenes of action, fantasy and sport with clarity. Juddering lines from fast moving images are automatically removed so that the stages and scenarios seamlessly follow one another and the various shapes and sizes embedded in the gaming world are realistically reproduced. Don't forget that although this all may seem gamer-orientated the brilliant picture quality and performance of the LC-32X20E may also be applied to television and DVDs alike.
The new Aquos model also has two SCART and three HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) connections, meaning that many devices such as DVD players, video recorders and set-top boxes can be connected quickly and easily.
With the high-end SRS (Sound Retrieval System) sound system and TruSurround XT (TruSurround renders multi-channel signals in such a way as to take advantage of the human hearing system and create an encompassing sound field) the LC-32X20E produces crisp, natural, virtually cinema quality sound. It is also equally adept at reproducing images from any Blu-ray player. This is an extremely high quality product - and one which I myself have not had any problems with so far. Furthermore, I can personally vouch for the amazing graphics and excellent performance which the LC-32X20E is capable of producing.

Advantages: Great Value Easy to set up Disadvantages: Built In Freeview Slow to respond
...due to previously having a Sharp and the excellent value of it. Not disappointed at all!
The specs were almost the same and the Sharp television is over £100 cheaper. Well worth it, picture quality is fantastic and is very easy to set up. The great thing about the set is the amount of inputs there are on the back of it. 3x HDMI, component, scart etc plenty of inputs for everything you will have.
The only niggle i is that the built in Freeview is ...

Advantages: Awesome picture quality, stunning design Disadvantages: small panel size, quality commands a price premium
...panel size. I doubt the Sharp would fill a large living room so people looking for a TV for this purpose should look elsewhere. Other than that, this TV is almost perfect.
So, a frankly, excellent product that is almost without flaw. However, the awesome quality commands a price premium and a much larger TV could be had for this price. If you have an eye for quality and don't need it for a huge room, this TV is the TV to which all others should ...

Quick review of Sharp AQUOS LC-32X20E
I was looking for a Full HD LCD, but didn't want it to be bigger than the fireplace (which is a feature of the room), so went for the 32inch version. Picture and sound quality are amazing. The setting menus are very easy to flick through and make changes to. I have it wall mounted, and it looks great. The only negative is the EPG for DTV. You can change the display, but even on zoom the text is very small and difficult to read. The EPG on the AD5EBK range is excellent, so I don't know why they didn't use the same software?? Would recommend if you intend to use with Sky, Sky+, or Sky HD decoder EPG. ...
