...you want it to with numbers. if you make a mistake you can just go back instead of having to start all over again like you do with some calculators, it has 5 memory buttons to remember any number or sum that you have worked out for you to use easily again in the future. there are so many added bonus's to this i suggest you go out buy it and see for yourself.

I bought the Sharp EL-531VH calculator many years ago from my school maths tuck shop. It was on sale there as we needed it for our lessons therefore were persuaded to buy it. I have had it since then and it has been over 6 years and it is still absolutely fine, mind you my chemistry teacher has had a computer since he was teaching pupils since the ancient times and his is still working so this calculator has been beaten.
Nevertheless this is a handy piece of equipment that can become your best friend when in need, especially when water enters one ear and drips out of the other, i.e. no brain! It doesn't take a genius to use the calculator and the functions are all present in an easy display manner therefore user friendly...

Advantages: Cheap, Simple, Does everything you want. Disadvantages: Small Batteries. Last a long time though, so not really a problem.
...I have had this product since Year 7, now going onto A-level maths, so had to buy a Graphics Calculator, but this one never ailed me, the only time was when the batteries were low, and it was slower to respond. New batteries and all was fine.
I don't know every single function, and it took a while to learn most of the ones I needed but I have a good grip now, and did by about Year 10. Simple to use once you know how, but also does everything I have ever asked it to. What's great is that you can go back and edit equations without retyping them.
It was the one my previous school recommended, and when I changed in Year 8 I was recommended a new one, by Sharp, but I kept this one, and never struggled with it. Mine didn't have a reset button when the Sharps did. But mine never needed to be reset, whereas the Sharps did....
