42 inch Aquos HD Ready 1080P LCD TV with built-in digital tuner (DVB-T) and dynamic contrast ratio of 10000:1. 100Hz Double frame drive. Slim frame and super thin design.
Advantages: Being gamer oriented ensures high end performance, surround sound, easy to set up. Disadvantages: Prices are likely to drop quickly after buying - as with all electronic products.
From the original creator of LCD technology comes another first - a 32" HD-ready 1080p LCD TV. The SharpAquosLC-32X20E was purposefully designed with gamers in mind. In addition to ordinarily providing unparalleled picture quality the LC-32X20E may also be optimised for gaming at the touch of a button. It allows for HD-sharpness and a faster response time needed by many gamers. As well as a beautiful, elegant, slim-line design and with exceptional picture and sound quality, the LC-32X20E comes with the easily recognizable piano lacquer-black finish of Sharp's products.
Most gamers who own a Play Station 3 or Xbox 360 often do not realise just how much of the processing power and high end graphics capabilities of their consoles are never being revealed. Using its HD-ready 1080p resolution, the 'game mode' of the LC-32X20E ensures ...
Advantages: Cheap, simple to use and good picture Disadvantages: Basic in features, better picture on more expensive sets, poor EPG
As we allready own a SharpAquosLC 32 (analogue) we decided to upgrade to a 46" Digital model.
The TV is simple to instal and tune and the menu easy to follow.
The backlight feature is not so good as it is set on maximum as a factory standard. We could have done with a bit more backlight as the picture can appear dark at times.
The Electronic Program Guide is not the best in the world but suffient for use. It takes forever to browse through the week ahead as you have to move one program at a time. Most EPGs allow you to skip days.
To obtain the best results, you have to adjust all of the colours and tints to your own standards but this is easy to do and the menu is user friendly.
It is very light for its size and easy to mount on a wall fitting.
The remote is easy to use but there is an added extra of the Aquos ...
Advantages: Great Value Easy to set up Disadvantages: Built In Freeview Slow to respond
I opted for this TV instead of the latest Samsung due to previously having a Sharp and the excellent value of it. Not disappointed at all!
The specs were almost the same and the Sharp television is over £100 cheaper. Well worth it, picture quality is fantastic and is very easy to set up. The great thing about the set is the amount of inputs there are on the back of it. 3x HDMI, component, scart etc plenty of inputs for everything you will have.
The only niggle i is that the built in Freeview is quite slow to respond to commands and doesn't have a page up/down option on the EPG. Nor does it have a small preview screen small price to pay i guess! ...
