After doing my research and after having the same Sharp microwave for around 25 years, since they first started appearing, I finally had to buy a new one after it stopped working, after serving me well for such a long time I decided to go for this machine. The SharpR959SLM.
It does all the things you expect, convection oven, grill, microwave. Has a LCD display for the time and temperature selection with stop / cancel also included. There are guides for different food types also.
However, after baking a cake in it for the first time, it came out burnt on the inside, somehow?! So i researched what could be wrong.. my recipie or the microwave / convection oven. I took some temperature readings while the oven was on with a digital thermometer i have, and it did in fact read 10 degrees hotter that the temperature i set it at.

Advantages: Its powerful, easy to use, the exterior is easy to clean, it's fairly well styled Disadvantages: The turn-table is enamelled metal and difficult to keep clean. Max temperature 200 degrees Celsius
The thermostat on my conventional oven on my gas cooker packed up. Prior to that I was thinking of getting a cheap microwave oven for cooking ready meals and so forth. But under the circumstances, I decided to go for a combination oven, rather than get the thermostat repaired (being a vegetarian, I'm never going to cook a chicken or a joint in it so size isn't a problem).
Initially I bought two cheaper ovens (around the £90 mark) which both had to be returned because they were faulty. Not wanting to have to wait for a replacement, I decided to upgrade my purchase to the Sharp at £120.
Once unpacked it was easy to commission, and has been a delight to cook with, although I must confess to not having used all of its features, as these are mostly geared towards people who cook meat, and such like. Although this seems to be the case ...
