tv looks great, black and silver goes well with glass tv stand, or wood, looks modern and stylish.
the tv has almost any input you really want (apart from pc input). you can connect your tv ariel, 2 scart devices like sky and a dvd player, another device which has a red yellow and white phono connection, such as a playstation.
it has an RGB connection which i have found no use for yet, and had a HDMI input.
now there is a little confusion over this tv, because if you go to an electrical retailer they will tell you it is not a High Definition (HD) tv. however it does have a HDMI (High definition standard) input which gives GREAT quality from my HD dvd player.
the picture quality for normal terrestrial tv is above par, as to be expected from sharp, and picture from scart devices is also better than you get with other brands.
i am also using the HDMI input to use the TV as a pc moitor through the DVI port on my mac...the picture quality is awful, if you have a mac do not buy this as a pc monitor ! if you have a windows pc with a HD compliant grpahics card then go for it !
the DVI output from a computer is not a proper High Definition output, so the quality will be ok, but average sized and small fonts are blurrey and you can sometimes get fuzzyness on the edges of the opicture., as a bit of advice, if you want a pc monitor, just buy a big pc monitor, but if you want a great television, get this.
the sound quality is good, obviously no rival to a decent hi-fi, but better than you would expect from a tv. although this does have a sound output, so if you are a real audiophile then you can connect a stereo to this and have the sound that way.
the tv has a built in desktop stand.
the power buttons and some control buttons are on top of the tv.
Warning, after a few hours of use this does become very hot at the back, so do not cover it up, but no not worry about the heat for normal tv running use.
i think i have covered everything but if you want to know something else just send me a meaasge and ill see if i can answer it for you.

Quick review of Sharp LC-26P50E
I bought eight of these Sharp Tvs in 2005: five 14", two 26", and one 32", for use in a new home/B&B I'm building.
Due to construction delays, they stayed in their unopened boxes for nearly three years.
When opened in 2008, the three big ones do not work (althought the small models are fine). Replacement parts (1 x screen; 2 x LCD controller PCBs) cost nearly as much as new models at today's prices.
No guarantee of course because three years have passed. Sharp unhelpful and not interested.
I cannot recommed Sharp or their spare part prices! ...
