It has in built speakers but I really wish they hadn't bothered. They should have made the monitor even cheaper by not including them at all or added £10 - £20 to the price of the monitor and put some decent ones in.

I was in the market for a new monitor at the end of 2004 as I like to do photo work and was using a 15 inch monitor, not really good enough. I used to have a 21 inch CRT when I had the space for one in my old flat, but moving house meant a different place for the computer with no where to hang the back end of the monitor over. A 19 inch flat panel monitor is approximately the same screen size as a 21 inch CRT, although you cannot get the same resolution. This is not a problem as I can just zoom into the photo's I am working on.
It has in built speakers but I really wish they hadn't bothered. They should have made the monitor even cheaper by not including them at all or added £10 - £20 to the price of the monitor and put some decent ones in.
The control for volume, brightness, contrast and the other menu functions are all located under the monitor screen in the silver part you can see in the picture. Very simple to use and self explanatory.
It connects only via the traditional analogue monitor provided a very crisp clear image. Some more modern PC's will have the digital monitor output, however this is not supported with this model. I guess that's one of the reasons why the price is so low for a 19 inch flat panel. Also, there is no USB hub that some of it's rivals have.
The refresh rate is very good at 16ms, so should be good for all you gamers. The brightness and contrast ratios are spot on, certainly for photograpy work.
Overall if you don't need a digital signal being sent to get the image on your monitor then this is an ideal product for you!
