Start with a high-speed 25 ms response time for sharp delineation of quickly moving images, a wide viewing angle of 170 degrees in both horizontal and vertical directions. Combine the world's first 10-bit gamma correction technology for faithful reproductions of fine color graduations, and add Sharp's exclusive anti-glare, low reflection coatings (eliminating 98.5% of ambient lighting reflections). The LL-T2020 is truly the most advanced monitor for professionals who need the best color reproduction available for LCD monitors.
Advantages: Small and light Disadvantages: Battery life could be longer
...the weight of an Encyclopedia. And this suits my needs very well. Something small, light and fits in my handbag!
2. Size
Did I mention the size? It is less then A4 in both length and width and in thickness, it is at most 2 cm thick. Fantastic, isn't it?
3. Battery Life
Ah, how long it last. Running on battery, this notebook will last me approximately 2 hours under intense surfing and emailing. It is supposed to last 2.9 hours but that only happens if I have one text based editor with nothing going on in the background. I usually have the internet radio on while I surf the net or when I'm writing, so battery consumption is high when I am using this.
Sharp sells an extended battery pack for 200 dollars in the US. This is supposed to run for 9 hours but it is slight bulkier. I might have to consider buying that eventually.
4. Disk space...

Advantages: Extremely clear picture Disadvantages: Not the cheapest around
...Having recently had to throw away my CRT monitor after a faithful five years of service, it was time to try getting one of these fancy new TFT monitors that I see all the time now. Fancy estate agents and hotels all seem too eager to show off these monitors even though half havern't a clue about them, just the latest office fashion accessory.
However this said I've become rather pleased with the change from a traditional large monitor. For starters I now have loads of room on the desk to stretch out and its also much lighter allowing me to tuck it under my arm and take it on the go to friends houses.
Getting more technical the contrast, typically bad in TFT monitors is excellent on this particular one, quoted as 700:1 and the refresh rate is plenty fast enough for you gamers out there at 25ms. Also I got mine in the black case...

Advantages: Vivid and crisp display, Fast update rate, Good controls, No dead pixels, Good auto-setup Disadvantages: No DVI input, Fonts sometimes aren't as crisp as expected, Stiff hinges/base
...The SharpLLT17A3-B is a good 17" TFT monitor that doesn't really stand out from the crowd, but does its job well and the picture quality is great in both productivity software and games. I wanted a TFT monitor that I could transfer back and forth to university easily, but also one that would have a good enough update rate for gaming. This one seemed to fit the bill.
Technology:
One of the major complaints with TFT monitors (and the reason I've never bought one in the past) is the slow update rate of the pixels. In productivity software such as word processors this isn't really an issue, but in games it can totally ruin the experience due to one image being left on the screen too long when a new one should have replaced it. However, I can't notice a big difference between this monitor and my 19" CRT at home in terms of update rate...
