I bought the Sharp MD-MS701 after a previous one I owned was stolen. I was happy with the product as it did what I needed. The definition on the sound is excellent, but the bass is a little bit lacking compared to other minidiscs I have tried. One of the main fault's I found with the machine was that one day it decided to stop outputting sound. The internal noises came out,(the button beeps etc.) but no actual music came out. I sent it back to Sharp, who sent it back saying nothing was wrong with it, and still no sound. This may say something about the machine and Sharp. But after this I wouldn't recommend it.
