Night vision is ok, white balance is excellent, I'd recommend the Sharp for both indoor and outdoor recording.

It is slightly larger than your average camera, but I think this is due to the amount of machinery required to provide 26x optical zoom, and not suffer the quality. It also means that means its not easily dropped!
