Some challenges involve collecting tokens whilst powering down the slopes, some involve reaching the bottom of the slope as fast as possible, whilst others involve scoring as many points by performing tricks and grinds etc.

The game makes great use of the Wii balance board, but if you don't own one of these you can still play just as well using solely the Wii remote.
The concept of the game is to ride down snow slopes of various different countries, passing challenges and unlocking new slopes and characters. Some challenges involve collecting tokens whilst powering down the slopes, some involve reaching the bottom of the slope as fast as possible, whilst others involve scoring as many points by performing tricks and grinds etc.
There is also a multiplayer option where you can ride side by side with another person in the same room, or the "Hotseat" option where you take it in turns to score the most points or ride the fastest. This option is really useful as most people will only own one Wii Balance board, so both players can use it.
Performing tricks is perhaps the most fun part of the game. You use the balance board to steer where you are going, balance on grinds, and launch of peaks for a jump. You then use the wii remote by pressing A or B or A and B together, whilst positiioning your weight in different positiions to performs different tricks. You can combine these tricks with one another to carry out some pretty amazing tricks, and there are so many to do, it will take a while to get a good grip of them all.
For me, this game is a great step forward for games to be used with the Wii Balance board. It's fun, cartoon-like, and very well thought out. It's good fun, especially when playing with others. My only problem is, once you've completed the game, it may become a bit repetitive, especially when you consider there is no online gameplay. I think playing with another player online would have been a really nice touch, but unfortunatly this features has not been built in.
For the price I paid, this game is definitely worth getting, and even for £35 I think its definitely a game that will get you using the Wii Balance board a lot more.

You have to complete challenges to unlock further parts of the game. These vary, but are generally based on being quick through a course or earning points through jumps and turns. You get set certain missions for each destination and when you pass you move onto a different location. There are a number of missions per location and each stage has a number of missions to complete. The missions vary depending on the stage and of course get harder as the game goes on. Missions include: scoring a certain ... ...and collecting items. Once you have gone through all the locations and completed all the missions a new set of missions are unlocked. These ones are very hard and you deinfately must push yourself in order to even come anywhere being able to complete these missions. The graphics arent too bad for this game and there are a good number of characters you can choose from. This game is 2 player and is excellent when using the wii board. This game definately ...

All though it sounds rather 'sad', the Wii Fit has indeed transformed our lifestyles..
We purchase the Wii Fit around 3 months ago. I hinted towards getting it for all the 'health' reasons, but to be honest, I only wanted the balance board to acompany the ShaunWhiteSnowboarding game! My partner instantly loved the games and I slowly became rather addicted to using the Wii Fit game also.
It's great having an interactive trainer. I'm naturally very competative so findgames such as this great because I'm always pushing myself to do better. There are around 15 different exercises, most of which are unisex ((though don't do the hullah in front of your woman!).
It's a great package and as I said, the balance board could be used on other games also, so long term your'e likely to see more surfing/skateboarding/snoqwboard games which ...

The Wii Balance Board is a fantastic bit of kit.
Most people assume that by purchasing this, it will onyl work with the Wii Fit, however, this is also compatible with other games such as the 'ShaunwhiteSnowboarding' game.
It's a great buy for the whole family, as the kit should beenfit each members needs. The son may want to play on surfing games rather than doing squats and push ups, whereas the mother may prefer to do hullah dancing and step ups!
I have no doubt that this kit will be compatible with future games also, surfing ,skateboarding, hoverboarding etc which makes it a worthy purchase.
I feel that the balance Board allows you to be more 'inetractive' with the console and feels a lot more lifelike, rather than just sitting on the sofa playing a game.
It's great also because no skills are needed to play this ...
