Advantages: Fantastic insight into the mind of a troubled youngster, Great price, Great for all ages and both sexes.

...As I’m not one for reading, I wouldn’t initially have thought of doing a book review as my first proper op. I have never been a big reader, but my other half certainly makes up for me, and we have just lined the spare room with 16 bookshelves that are now filled with everything from Encyclopaedias to DIY books, and from Enid Blyton to Tom Sharpe. She recommends books to me but being an impatient man, I get bored if nothing happens in the first chapter, and give up. Just to stop her whining, I decided to give her most recent read a try, and was surprised by what I found… Written by Mark Haddon, The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-Time is a murder mystery novel with a twist. Advantages: A great insight into how a child with Autism views this world; thought-provoking
Disadvantages: Strong points of view exist (see review); not too addictive; not very long

...is a strong boy, aged 15 like me, and can protect himself for sure. The trouble is, many people whom speak to him don't know what they're letting themselves in for. Christopher doesn't disapprove of strangers simply on the grounds that his special school has taught him to be wary of them; he personally doesn't like speaking to them, as he doesn't know them. He likes to have great details about a person's daily life before he actually goes about talking and being friendly with them. He also hates being touched, even by non-strangers. He will become very annoyed, on edge and perhaps violent when he is touched by another person, which is why it's good to really get to know his personality before you go doing anything else.
