Advantages: Air Miles, well established reward scheme, card widely accepted, free purchase protection Disadvantages: interest rates not the lowest
...you can also earn free Shell Plus Points ( they have just moved from issuing Smart points )or Air Miles.
The credit card is a fairly standard offering with the option to transfer your balance from another credit card ( but no points are awarded for this ). 5.9% APR introductory rate for 6 months on transferred balances, 17.9% APR after that. One good point is that there is no annual fee. There is also the good addition of free purchase ... ...you buy anything from a Shell garage ( or other issuer of plus points like Halfords )you can get up to triple points as you can also use your Plus Card to collect points.
When redeeming the plus points, there are quite a not a bad range of gifts from household items like kettles, irons, etc to high street vouchers for Dixons, watches, cd players etc
Getting high street vouchers is quite expensive, costing 600 points ... more

Because it is issued by Visa it has all the normal Visa advantages -acceptable in thousands of places in the UK & worldwide, cash advances and so on.
A new issue bonus of 600 plus points is on offer for successfully applying for the card and then you receive 4 point for each £10.

Getting high street vouchers is quite expensive, costing 600 points ( almost £1700 in single collection mode )for £5.00. But if you double or triple dip the real cost drops quite dramatically.
You can also swap points for Air Miles and can quite quickly build up a fair amount. The exchange rate ( using £1700 example above ) would get you 85 Air Miles.
The card design is a bright and breezy ( can you guess what it will be from Shell ? ) Shell that does stand out from the normal dark and sombre offerings.
As for the credit card, it is a good one with a not bad rate of return of points and above average facilities. If you don’t mind putting all your eggs into one loyalty scheme then it is one to certainly think seriously about especially if you are a driver or already collect Air Miles.
Advantages: Earn more plusPoints at Shell stations, that can be converted into Airmiles or vouchers Disadvantages: Interest rate not competitive
I applied for Shell Visa simply to get more points per pound when purchasing fuel at Shell Service stations.
I am an avid Airmiles collector and you end us receiving 50% more Airmiles by presenting your PlusPoints card toegther with a Shell Visa than you would if you used any other credit card for the same purchase.
Not much point in holding this card for any other reason really - no other advantages would make me want to hold this card.
As well ...

Advantages: Convenience of High Street bank credit card for payments and cash withdrawals. Decent online facility. Disadvantages: Poor loyalty scheme value, extortionate charges.
I used this card for my first two years of Uni mainly because it offered AirMiles (1 for £20 spent excluding cash advances) I never had any troubles with wrongful charges or mysterious purchases but I did pay by no-nonsense direct debt. Rather perversely my housemate likes to refer to it as the male credit card. His reasoning is that The Littlest Hobo is featured in the advert and with that being for boys and Lassy for girls it becomes a masculine credit card. I?ve yet to see Lassy advertising plastic power though.
I stopped using it because I felt that the AirMiles weren?t as good value as the cashback scheme offered by Egg, with a reduction in the cashback though I am considering going back. One of the benefits of AirMiles is that it is a large scheme so provided you shop in Sainsbury?s Visa and reward card and at Shell ...
