The dungeon crawling is similar to that in Persona 3: attacking the enemy initates combat, which is a turn-based system. Although simple, it works extremely well and is good to play. Each member has a 'persona', a demon-like entity which gives them special abilities. The player character has the ability to change and fuse persona, which gives him the ability to change his skills and elemental alignments. One major change from P3 is the ability to control the other members of your party.
The social aspect is unique to the Persona RPGs and is often compared to japanese visual novels. These are subplots where the main character interacts with other NPCs and learns about their issues in life. This sounds mundane but it is also a large portion of the game. It is also vital to increase the strength of the social links, as it strengthens the power of fused persona. In fairness to Altus however, they have managed to create an interesting subplot with each of the social links, which makes it feel like less of a grind and gives party members and minor characters some personality.
At the reduced RRP of £19.99, this game represents fantastic value for money. It'll last most people at least 60 hours, if not 100+. Althought the replayability may be low initially (due to the long playtime), it would be worth playing a second time (or time) simply to max out the social links. For fans of Persona 3 or SMT games, this is a must have. For others, it's cheap game which is represents fantastic vaue for money and hours of enjoyment. One of the best RPGs on the PS2.
Advantages: Great Graphics and music, Story is amazing! Disadvantages: Gameplay is repetitive at times, Dungeons are long.....
Persona 4 has by far overstepped the boundaries of traditional role playing and ideals in the video game genre, the whole game surrounds itself around this idea that if you look at the television at midnight on a rainy day u will see your soulmate. But it only gets crazier from there.... The tv's are actually a portal to other worlds, and its all wrapped up in a huge murder mystery where u have to chase the killer into the TV to save the victems..... ... ...emotions you get from this game while playing through the storyline is unbelievable. I have never played a game that has touched my heart as much as this one, made me sad or angry, this is definitely one u guys should not pass up, probably the best rpg for ps2 hands down, rivaled only by FF12 or an equally engrossing game, so go get it and have a great time, its easily a 100 hour game. ...

Chie told Yosuke and Shouji Seta about urban legend that they can see a someone in the night when raining and called Midnight Channel and they agree to watch that channel. In trailer Shouji Seta was sucked into TV and at the school he told that he saw something and he was sucked into the TV and oddly they saw something same with him but they didn't believe if shoji was sucked up.
