Advantages: Good value for money; does the job; behaves like any other face powder Disadvantages: It used to be cheaper!
I've worn face powder for as long as I've been wearing make-up, because I tend to look shiny if I just use foundation or tinted moisturiser as a base, and I don't really suit the shiny look. Sometimes when I'm buying cosmetics I'll go for a more expensive brand, to treat myself to a product that's perhaps a little nicer to use, or has more of a striking effect. With face powder, I don't think there's much point - it's a simple product and I haven't noticed much difference between different brands, having tried Rimmel and Boots 17.
I decided to try Natural Collection Pressed Powder because it appeared to be the cheapest powder available in Boots, at £1.95, and I trust Boots' own products. There are three shades to choose from: warm, neutral and cool. I am not sure if I have a warm or cool colouring, so I chose neutral. I am quite pale ...
Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: It didnt work that well
You can pick this powder up in Boots for around £2 which is a great price to pay for make up but Im not really convinced on how well it actually works.
I wear make up every day, its part of my morning ritual to put on a bit of powder and sum blush but this make up didnt really seem to cover my skin or really make that much of a difference to my skin at all, in fact I might as well not bothered in applying this make up without a foundation on underneath, yes we all want the natural look but you need your make up to have some effect otherwise whats the point in wearing it.
However if you use a foundation this make up seems to start to work and you can see its effects, and it looked quite natural too when put on, though every day I dont like to wear foundation so I dont think that this is the make up for me.
This make up is ...
Advantages: Anti-Blemish ingredients and a lovely smooth feeling. Disadvantages: Rather pricey!
I've used many different types of powderfoundation and I'm always trying out new ones! As a result I end up with alot of half empty compacts with varying different brands, apart from my Clinique Clarifying Powder.
I first found out about Clinique's Clarifying Powder after I had been on Clinique's website. I had been wanting to try a Clinique foundation or powder for a while but I wasn't sure which was the best option for me. I discovered a handy little feature on Clinique named the 'Foundation Finder.' After you have carried out a 'Skin Report' they tell you which foundations are the best for your type of skin. I have quite combination skin, it can be quite oily at times, dry at other times, and I suffer from blemishes.
I like to wear powder over my liquid foundation to give a better coverage to my face, which has a few large ...
