Hi everyone. I joined Ciao in the early days and, now I'm back, am delighted to see it's still the same great community. Spellings seem to have got worse though!

After QVC's slickness and professionalism, SHOP! can come as a bit of a shock. The set looks like it is being held up with tape, for a start. The presenters are pretty unique too : enthusiastic, talkative, panicky at times. This is compulsive viewing. I watch it to see what is going to go wrong next.
One of my favourite presenters is Debbi Jones. She used to be a local radio DJ and was excellent. She's wasted on this programme, but she's still good. These presenters deserve medals for their ability to enthuse about all sorts of naff stuff.
Having said that, I have bought a couple of things and they have been fine. For example, we had some pillows, which were good quality and cheaper than anywhere else we tried.
When there is nothing else on Sky, we often put SHOP! on, it's entertaining, even if you have no intentions of buying anything.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Advantages: maybe quite cheap but who cares? Disadvantages: Calming talking and cheesy music trick you into buying what you don't need and can't afford.
