If you thought you'd seen the worst in TV Home shopping - think again! Say hello to Shop! Say goodbye to taste!
I have always admired home shopping presenters for their ability to make naff products look half-decent. Shop! presenters, however, have great difficulty at making an excellent product look half-decent - they make it look terrible!
Shop! is the only 24-hour shopping channel available to people with an OnDigital subscription. This is great if you're not into home shopping TV but terrible if you are. Unlike other shopping channels, Shop! does not encourage its viewers to participate in call-ins or on air chats with the presenters. I think this is because the presenters lack any real skill or experience and would find the challenge of looking into a camera and reacting/responding to something unscripted nearly impossible.
The range of products, like with any other shopping channel is dependent on when you watch. However, the channel is backed up by a comprehensive website that lists everything sold through the channel. Most brands aren't available anywhere else which makes product comparison difficult.
Post & Packing for all items is £2.95 each though through the month of February they are running a Free P&P offer. There is very little re-enforcement of a returns policy or customer satisfaction guarantee except to say that if you find the same product on TV shopping for less than the Shop! price, they'll refund the difference - wow.
Each hour is programmed to be a different type of shop, so you'll have Cooking Shop!, Bargain Shop!, Fitness Shop!, etc.
I think Shop! needs to look at QVC and pick up a few tips on selling, customer service and quality. They should also sack their current buying staff and employ someone with taste! :)

Advantages: maybe quite cheap but who cares? Disadvantages: Calming talking and cheesy music trick you into buying what you don't need and can't afford.
