Great for shopaholics!

Advantages: Compact, good range of shops, good transport links
Disadvantages: none

Lakeside is an indoor shopping complex that is located in Thurrock, Essex. To get there by car it is just off the A13 or J1 of the M25. There is ample parking in both a covered car park and an outside one. To get there by public transport you can take a train to Chafford Hundred from London. There are also local bus routes operating. Opening hours are 10am -10pm weekdays, 9am -9pm Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday. The shopping centre itself is ...
...located just outside the centre. Lakeside also have events running from time to time such as fashion shows on a stage set up in the middle of the complex. I think this shopping centre is great - there is something for everyone and all under one roof. It's also fairly compact so going around doesn't take forever. If however you're looking for something that is designer or for more variety in terms of shops you'd be better off heading down to Bluewater ...

Shoppers Paradise or Nightmare Before Christmas?

Advantages: plenty of shops for the young and hip, designer clothes, department stores
Disadvantages: crowed, expensive, unattractive concrete block, murder to get in and out by car

I've been shopping at Brent Cross for the best part of 16 years but over the past years, mainly since the refurbishment a number of years back, I'm less inclined to visit. I will explain later in my review. It's not the most attractive building in the world, in fact it's a concrete monstrosity and not very pleasing on the eye - at least not from the outside. *** Opening Hours *** Brent Cross shopping centre is always busy regardless of time of ...
...either weekdays and/or late evenings. Brent Cross Shopping Centre is open Monday - Friday 10am - 8pm, Saturday 9am - 7pm and Sunday 12noon - 6pm (with some stores open half an hour early for browsing). However, all through December (at least until 22 December) shops at Brent Cross stay open until 10pm on weekdays. But check for individual closing times as not all shops stay open late. *** Finding your way around *** Depending from where you enter, ...

Discount shopping on high street brands

Advantages: Cheaper than the high street
Disadvantages: Parking

The Galleria The Galleria, is situated just off the A1(M) between junction 3 and 4, it does have its own turn off. As you come to this junction, there is no way of missing the galleria, as the building goes across the road with big red letters. This shopping centre is just like many of the others, such as blue water, however, the prices are a lot cheaper. There are over 30 outlets in the centre. Opening times The Galleria is open every day. During ...
...Where as the weekend they again open at 10 on Saturday and 11am on Sunday, closing at 6pm and 5pm on the Sunday. During the Christmas season, these times change. Parking charges Parking is charged here, however the prices are really cheap, compared to some places. The prices start at £1 for 2 hours weekdays rising to £4 for the day, where as weekends the price is £2 for all day parking. Prices? The Galleria is known for discounted high street ...
