Lakeside is an indoor shopping complex that is located in Thurrock, Essex. To get there by car it is just off the A13 or J1 of the M25. There is ample parking in both a covered car park and an outside one. To get there by public transport you can take a train to Chafford Hundred from London. There are also local bus routes operating. I think this shopping centre is great - there is something for everyone and all under one roof. It's also fairly compact so going around doesn't take forever. A fabulous fun and shop time with family

Advantages: can get everything from high street to branded under one roof

Shoppers Paradise or Nightmare Before Christmas?

Advantages: plenty of shops for the young and hip, designer clothes, department stores
Disadvantages: crowed, expensive, unattractive concrete block, murder to get in and out by car

I've been shopping at Brent Cross for the best part of 16 years but over the past years, mainly since the refurbishment a number of years back, I'm less inclined to visit. Discount shopping on high street brands

Advantages: Cheaper than the high street

The Galleria The Galleria, is situated just off the A1(M) between junction 3 and 4, it does have its own turn off. As you come to this junction, there is no way of missing the galleria, as the building goes across the road with big red letters.
