The Only Place to Shop in Brum!
Advantages: Lots of great shops Disadvantages: Can get very busy, expensive car parks
Now in its fourth year since being renovated, the Birmingham Bull Ring Shopping Centre is a fantastic place to shop.
There are a wide range of stores - all the usual High Street favourites, as well as some smaller retailers.
Perhaps the most noticable and well known thing about the Bull Ring, is the design of the Selfridge's building. From the outside, it looks like a large, bulbous spaceship, pannelled with hundreds of silver circles. On the inside, ... ...thousands of products on offer.
The Bull Ring complex spreads around St Martins Church, the statue of Lord Nelson looking out imposingly over the square. The mall's are split into two parts, one either side of St Martins, although they are joined by the lower ground floor. The inside of the centre looks modern and clean, with marble-effect floor and a glass ceiling. There are several touch screen computerised information points situatied around ...

An alternative to shopping in the Bullring
Advantages: Opens until 8.00pm weekdays, good range of high street shops Disadvantages: Out of town, shops not under one building.
...was unable to go to the HMV in Birmingham's bullring (because Peter Andre was there signing copies of his new single) and was recommended to try the Fort in Castle Bromwich as this had a large HMV and other shops for last minute holiday stuff. The Fort is an out of town shopping centre and situated off the M6. It was relatively easy to get to by car but I am not sure how good the public transport links are - I saw one bus stop on the way there and ... ...and parking is free. The shops are not under one building and are all in a row in a sort of large three quarters square shape. There is a covered walkway where you have to walk to get to one shop to another. The shops are mainly made up of the Arcadia Group i.e. Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Burton, BHS etc and there is a good range of high street women's fashion shops such as Warehouse, Next, Miss Selfridge and New Look. There was also a Marks & Spencer ...

One Time in One Stop is enough for life
Advantages: Easily accessible, all the basic shops. Disadvantages: All the same old shops, boring.
...One Stop shopping centre in Perry Barr. This is in North Birmingham, about 3 miles away from the city centre and easily accessible on buses including the 11 and 51. There’s a huge row of bus stops in front of the shopping centre, which have lots of rubbish and are not the nicest place to hang around.
Most of the shopping centre is in an inside mall on one level, but there are also some larger stores outside, surrounding the car park. Access is easy, ... ...sloped travelator upon going through the main entrance. The malls are wide, although there are a number of stalls in the middle making it a bit crowded at busy times. The stalls offer hair weaving, manicures and jewellery, and there is also a discount book stall. The toilets are satisfactory but last time I visited, the female toilets were closed so I had to use the Burger King toilets. There are also payphones by the entrance as well as a few cashpoints ...

My little Mirage - Oasis ♥
Advantages: Great shop Disadvantages: hmmm none really
...simular shop called "Revenge" The Oasis is one of the most popular shops for people of the Gothis, Punk, Skate etc scene to go and purchase new goods from.
The purchases are quite cheap too! But some items can be pretty dear but they are all god quality items to have in your wardrobe. ♥ Level 1 ♥
When you walk into the shop is level one. Here is home to all the footwear ranges, Mens tops, Levis jeans, Goth style clothing, PVC clothing ... ...hats upon this level.
The Oasis also has its own piercing shop where you can have a wide range of piercings done, or they will simply help you out with a piercing you have already had done.
And why not visit the hairsalon where you can have wild hair and a range of colours within it.
♥ The staff within the Oasis are also very friendly and will assist you with anything from telling you where something is to telling you how good an item of ...
