Ideal World feels like the poor relation in terms of shopping channels . I have not seen many others only having access via Freeview but have found that Ideal World has a bit of a 'cheap' shop feel about it .
It is located on Freeview channel 22 and can be viewed on-line also . The presenters are a bit of a smarmy bunch . They do not have any charming , natural appeal but rather seem forced and contrived .
The channel sells a wide range of goods from clothes to computers to curtains to jewellery and much more . Each presentation or show lasts an hour . Occasionally there are two one hour shows for the same product in each successive show .
I have only orderd a couple of times and the goods have arrived promptly and in good condition . One of the problems with Ideal World is that when you order by telephone the call charges really stack up quickly . If you get caught up in a long queue and ring off you will be surprised just how much that call has cost you . If you ring back a couple of times the costs really mount up .
The next negative about this shopping channel is their excessive postage charges . Very rarely there may be reduced postage often on multiple items ordered . If not you may find that you are paying £7.99 on top of the phone charges .
The shows run on similar lines to other shopping channels . A company such as Reflections will have an hour long show with about 6-12 pieces from their ladies clothing range . Models will parade about showing you just how good you can look in these clothes . Well that's the idea .
The order numbers are displayed on the screen and when you ring in you can speak to the presenters on television if you so desire .
The first time you order you will be given a membership number . By using this at other times you can ring the 'in first' number which should guarantee you purchase anything in high demand .Also this should minimise telephone charges . You will receive a welcome pack with a membership card made in the form of a swipe card . Inside your order there will be a leaflet with programme listings for the next few months .
All goods received are on a 30 day money back guarantee . I have never had to return anything so I do not know how reputable Ideal World are on this score . If you are returning parcels you will have to pay postage unless it is for faulty goods or incorrect items received .
If you are interested check out some of the specialist offerings such as D.I.Y or gardening where you may find some reasonaly priced products for sale .
These shopping channels are very good for anyone who has problems getting out and about easily .Overall though use caution with this company . Goods can look so much better under studio lights and be such a dissapointment when they arrive at your door .

A very good review . I have ordered stuff from them on several occasions and had no problems but as you say the postage and phone costs need to be kept in mind
