As smooth as a babys bum
Review of Aveda Smoothing Body Polish by sarahpervin

Advantages: it works!
Disadvantages: v.v.expensive

...is a main stockist of aveda products. I’ve had lots of wonderful treatments there and have experienced a lot of aveda products. I find aveda products quite expensive but as they are all made of natural ingredients and not tested on animals then I don’t mind treating myself to something now and again. I bought avedas smoothing body polish because I’m going on holiday shortly and really need to get rid of that dry winter skin and also to have a go ...
...What is it? ------------ Aveda smoothing body polish is an exfoliant for the body, which contains finely ground walnut shells, kelp aloe and lavender. The cream itself looks like mustard and smells of lavender. How to use --------------- You apply it by using your hand or an exfoliating mitt and massage into the skin in a circular motion and then rinse off. It leaves your skin feeling very smooth but be warned it leaves what can only be described, ... Read review

Skin kissed by the Snow Fairy
Review of Lush Snow Fairy by pink_champagne

Advantages: Smells amazing, soft skin
Disadvantages: Smell doesn't linger on the skin, only available at Christmas

...bottle from someone on the Lush forum. As it is a Christmas product, I have waited until now to review it, as the Lush Christmas products have now gone on sale, and I didn't see the point in reviewing it, if it wasn't possible for people to actually go out and buy it. At the time of writing this, the Christmas products are in the shops but not actually online yet, but should be within the next week, I believe. The shower gel comes in a clear plastic ...
...Like most of the Lush products, the packaging is very simple, as Lush prefer to spend money on the ingredients in the product, rather than the packaging it comes in. The main problem I have found with the bottle - and this goes for all other Lush shower gels in the 100g size - is that the bottle is really tough plastic, and its quite hard to squeeze. This means that sometimes you end up using more than you intended as squeezing the bottle so hard, ... Read review

Fake Bake Airbrush Tan
Review of Fake Bake Aerosol Airbrush Tan by mego1234

Advantages: Lovely colour, easy to apply, dries so quicky, streak free!
Disadvantages: None!

...I prefer it to the fake bake lotion tanner because it dries extremely quickly. It doesnt take more than minutes, however the fake bake lotion does! It lasts around 7 days depends on how often you shower and the can lasted around 6 weeks which i thought was good value for money. The colour is a really lovely olive brown, not a bit of orange in sight! I also found that it doesnt go pachy when its wearing off like other self tanners - which really puts ... Read review

Soap Me Up!
Review of Tesco Value Soap by newby2

Advantages: Cleans and is Very Cheap
Disadvantages: Not great smelling

Tesco Value Soap.......... This is not a product that I would usually buy but with things being to tight at the moment I thought I might as well give it a try. I am not too sure what my partner does with the soap as it seems to go down rather rapidly and we go through tons of the stuff. Up until now I have been buying Dove gentle soap but because I have all my lotions and potions for my face I never use soap on my face which is why I wasn't too ...
...cellophane wrapper with the usual Tesco Value stripe across it and not much else. It gives ingredients list but apart from that, the packaging is very basic. The soap itself though is pretty good to use. A bar seemed to last a lot longer than our usual Dove bar and works in the same way. The smell from the bar is not as nice or as luxurious as a bar of Dove but when washing feet I really do not see that as a problem. The Tesco Value Soap produces ... Read review

An 'Essential' Addition by 'Boots'!
Review of Boots Essentials Bath Soak Fresh Green by neenn

Advantages: Price
Disadvantages: Not moisturising.

- Price and Packaging - This is only 59p for a litre bottle and given the rising cost of many things nowadays, it's good value for money! The packaging is very simple - a transparent cuboid shaped plastic bottle with a screw top lid. - What is it? - No surprises that it's a bubble / foam bath. The 'bumph' on the back of the bottle, simply states that it: ~ has added moisturiser ~ leaves skin feeling soft and smooth - Smell and Appearance - ...
...the colour I assumed that it would have an apple based scent…. Not so, instead it has a very light fruity flavour to it and as the name suggests it certainly does smell 'fresh'. A good unisex bubble bath with no heavy floral based aroma. - Using it - The hole at the top of the bottle is large so when the bottle is full it does tend to pour out rather quickly so the best way to pour it is in to the lid, then adding to the bath. Approximately one ... Read review
