These are what "in-ear" headphones are supposed to be. Most headphones only sit in your ear lobe, which means that lots of the sound that leaves the headphones leaks out before it enters your ear. Not only does this mean that everyone around you can hear your music, it means that other sounds enter your ear and spoil the experience. The Shure E2C headphones, however, don't sit on the outside of your ear, the slip inside your earhole, like earplugs. This means that the no sound escapes and no sound is let in. The result, is a perfect listening experience wherever you are.
=INSIDE YOUR EAR? SOUNDS PAINFUL!=
You may find the earphones a little painful when you first use them, but by the third session, you'll wonder how you ever went so long without these babies. The headphones come with 6 different sleeves; 3 rubber sleeves in S, M and L, and 3 foam in S, M and L. I read one review of these headphones that compared them from changing from specs to contact lenses.
=HOW ABOUT THE SOUND QUALITY?=
The sound quality of these headphones is the best I've heard. You really can hear details in the music that you can't with most other headphones. The sounds are much crisper and clearer and the bass sounds don't muffle out the treble, even at high volumes.
=ISOLATION EARPHONES?=
Yep, like I said the unique design of the headphones mean that the double as ear plugs. I've used these babies on old rattling buses and trains, loud aeroplanes, and walking along busy roads, and the whole time all I could hear was the music. It can be a bit dangerous along the roads as cars come shooting past you and you have no idea they were coming, so obviously you have to be more aware when crossing roads.
=SO A GOOD BUY THEN?=
I think there well worth the money, especially if your someone that appreciates good music quality. Whats the point of paying £200 to store all your music in your pocket and then only listen to it with some poor quality, cheap headphones? I say just spend that little bit more on something that really gets the most out of your music.

How much did they cost? And this'll sound a strange question, but I wonder how small the small size is - I find in the ear earbuds (like the ones that come with the iPod) extraordinarly uncomfortable - indeed, painful. please let me know, if you're still around :) Cheers, Kate
