Introduction
Aldi like to pitch themselves as a more upmarket "discount" supermarket than the likes of Netto and Lidl, and as a result the middle classes seem to have embraced shopping there in the downturn, almost managing to kid themselves that it's merely a slightly cheaper version of Marks & Spencer's Food Hall.
A couple of years ago, Gok Wan proclaimed the Siana Moisturising Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream that Aldi sell to be one of the best anti-wrinkle creams available, on his TV show, thus prompting the entire stock nationwide to sell out within a couple of days.
You can see why - it costs a mere £1.89 for a 50 ml jar, which makes this a very affordable way of trying to keep the wrinkles at bay. Needless to say, I fell for the hype and despite the fact I didn't have an Aldi close by at the time, I took a trip further afield in search of this day cream.
Now dear reader, you may well note that this category is for the Night Cream - and well done if you did, because I failed to...*blushes brightly*. So I have edited my review to cover the Night Cream, which I also purchased, such was my delight at the price and the great reviews the products received.
The Cream
It comes packaged in a cardboard box which is dark blue in colour, in contrast to the pale blue box for the day cream. When you open the box you are met with a glass jar, which is nice and gives the product a more expensive feel, but this is sadly spoiled when you unscrew the lid and are met with a tear off piece of foil which has sealed the cream prior to use. It reminds me of the packaging on cheap cheese spread - which is not what I expect really on a jar of face cream - well not since I used Nivea back in the 1970s.
The smell isn't particularly pleasant either - I can't believe I am saying this but I found it even more pungent than the not very pleasantly scented day cream, but it wasn't so bad it kept me awake at night.
Using the Product and My Thoughts
Siana night cream is suitable for all skin types and I hoped the active ingredients of biaflavone and co-enzyme Q10 would make my dry skin look a tad younger.
The night cream differs from the day cream however in consistency - it has a far thicker consistency making application a little easier. Absorption still isn't brilliant however, and speaking as someone who cannot stand the feeling of a "wet" face against a pillow, I tend to apply night cream a good 15 minutes before turning in and I would recommend you do the same.
As for results, well they were comparable to the day cream, meaning I noticed no difference in my skin's appearance at all in the 6 weeks or so I used this. It did make my skin feel a little softer, but I suspect any day and night cream would have given the very same results.
If you are on the lookout for a cheap anti-ageing cream range I suggest you avoid this and look at Tesco's Derma Q10 range instead, or better still, take advantage of the almost constant offers available on L'Oreal and buy that!
Siana, unfortunately for me, was a false economy - both during the day and night!
Advantages: Such an easy to use cream. Disadvantages: Noe that I have found
...I have now been using Siana Nourishing Anti Wrinkle Night Cream since September and can say that this is one of the best products I have used on my skin. My crows feet seem to have thinned out and I do feel better for using this product.
For the cost of £1-98 a 50ml jar it is very good value for money. I not only use it at night but also during the day. The packaging is simple, opaque glass with a blue top and blue label with silver type. It does ...

Advantages: Very light and refreshing with subtle fragrance Disadvantages: None that I have experienced
...have fallen in love with Siana Anti Wrinkle Night Cream. I apply the cream at night after fully cleansing my face and I find it a very satisfying product. The cream is very light with a subtle refresshing fragrance. And although I have found several night creams to leave my skin feeling greasy in the morning, this is not the case with Siana Night Cream. I wake to find that my skin looks very refreshed and feels silky smooth with no geasy residue. ... ...£2 which both you and I know is a bargain price these days. And a little goes a long way so it does last!! This is by far one of the greatest Anti Wrinkle Night Creams that I have found so far and I would recommend this to all of my friends! ...

Quick review of Siana Anti Wrinkle Night Cream
I was dubious about this face cream only because it was so cheap!!!!
I have tried boots serum which was the one everyone was raving about but I have to say Siana Day & Night Cream is fantastic. It absorbs easily and the light fragrance is not too over powering. It brightens the skin and I cant believe its so cheap, I really reccommend it to everyone. ...

...to give it a try, siana wrinkle cream was used in a blind test along with other more expensive creams, the volunteers in this group of women each used a different cream not knowing which brand they were using and in the poll siana wrinkle cream came out top so I decided to purchase some and give it a try, I used the day and the night cream daily, initially I was pleased with the results as it made my skin soft and my fine lines appeared smoother ... ...white patches around my eyes were there used to be freckles, I went o see my GP and she confirmed that I have areas of skin de-pigmentation around my eyes, as you can imagine I am most upset by this as I have dark freckles and these white areas are very noticeable to me, this cream is marketed for all skin types so I am interested to hear from anyone else that has had this type or any other kind of reaction? ...
