Prices range from £29.99 (The Link with trade in, please note these models are in short supply from this supplier due to the sheer volume of people purchasing this for Xmas with the trade in), £39.99 from the Orange Shop and other mobile phone stockists.
There is another model the A50 which lacks polyphonic ring tones, but otherwise is similar in functions.
Considering my old phone was a very basic Nokia, this phone is fantastic, can't fault it. I'm on Orange PAYG but you can get it on T Mobile and Vodaphone for a little more on price (Vodaphone is around £60).
I've been playing around with my new phone especially the games. You can turn the sounds on and off and the instructions are very easy to understand.
You can register at the Siemens site www.my-siemens.com and they credit you automatically with £2.00 on which you can use to download ringtones and logos etc.
The Siemens A55 also has interchangable covers, CLIPit covers, at the moment they can be very hard to come by. I know that Carphone Warehouse doesn't stock them, but Ebay does and has hundreds at low prices from as little as £3.99.
I've found this phone has lots of character. The ring tones, especially polyphonic, are very clear and the phone itself is very easy to use. Comes complete with manual from putting the battery in to making calls abroad. Its on the Orange network and cost £39.99 from the Orange Shop.

I have the next version down from this one and it does what I want it to do, but no games and frills.

Review of Siemens A55
Advantages: Can be bumped, dropped, scratched, chipped, moaned at and run non-stop... Disadvantages: A little boring perhaps with its dreary display, but who needs colour really?
