I recently purchased my siemens A60 at the link. It was £60 on the orange network and included 5 texts free per day for a year. If you buy the text saver deal on other phones it costs £20 a year, so to get it free made the phone even more value for money.
Setting up my phone was relatively easy, with easy to follow instructions in the booklet. I did try to set it up online on the orange site but had problems as it kept restarting. When I rang the orange company to activate it the operator asked me about 10 questions and told me what to do with my phone to activate it as well as text saver. His instructions were clear and concise and soon I had my phone in working order.
My A60 is black (covers are not yet available in the UK), with a colour display of 101 x 80 pixel, which is actually fairly big for a mobile. It can be used worldwide due to the A60 being a triband mobile. The handset is 85 grams, making it small and light. It has 5 hours of talktime as well as 250 hours of standy time, reducing the amount of times it needs charging.
The number keys are all slightly different shapes but are easy to use and light to the touch. There is a circle with arrows key making navigation easy, specifically on the main menu (which shows all the option on one screen). The key to call someone is a green phone, and the key to end a call is a red phone. This red key also acts as the cancel button, and if held down too long can switch off the phone, which can get annoying if not intentional. There are two more keys on either side of the circular key, their function is usually to select an item or go back. At the bottom on the screen it says what the function of these keys are at that point, for example by pressing the right hand key you are taken into the menu.
There are 16 polyphonic ringtones, in my opinion they're not the greatest selection but some are pretty good. Also included are animations and sounds, which can be inserted into text messages, as well as a choice of backgrounds and screensavers for the phone.
There are many messaging options including SMS or EMS (Enhanced Message Service). The A60 has two games, Stack-Attack II (a bit like tetris using coloured blocks) and Picture Magic (a jigsaw game), which are both easy and fun to use. There are also other functions including an alarm clock, calculator, T9 for SMS, the Internet (GPRS) and the option to assign tones and pictures to people in the phonebook.
I have dropped the phone a few times, sometimes with the back cover coming off, but the phone has remained intact with no scratches. The covers are fairly easy to take off if need be, but are fitted to ensure the phone stays robust.
Overall I am really really pleased with my phone, encountering no problems as of yet. I think it was brilliant value for money considering the text saver was included. I like the colour screen and find the phone easy to navigate. I had never had a siemens phone before (only nokias and a motorola) so I had to adjust to some of the key changes, but this was very worthwhile and easy.

I bought this phone yesterday on Vodafone. Have had the Siemens A55 and this is excellent. Great op!

Interesting review that both comments on the technical side and discusses living with the phone on a daily basis. Only wish mine would survive drops ... had a new screen as a result!
