Does anyone remember when mobile phones were just phones and not games consoles, camera and video camera's, well I do as I still have one lol. Tis the Siemens A60 which I am going to tell you about now.
I only just came into mobile technology a couple of months ago and didn't want a complicated phone as I was just wanting it for emergency purposes. So I went onto Ebay with and a friend advised me on this one so I put a bid in and got it for £15.
When it arrived it was practically brand new and still had box and instruction manual etc. and was linked up to Virgin Mobile. Which by the way I find are great value and cheap. There was £5 credit with the phone which was enough to get me started I guess.
The phone is black in colour, the phone has around 6 hours talktime and around 250 hours of standby which means you don't have to charge up very often depending on how often you use it.
Well what can I say about this phone well it is a phone and nothing else, allowing you to make and receive calls and send text messages.
It does tend to come into the brick category compared to the most up to date phones but not as big as the phones from years ago I guess.
It features all the basics such as clock, alarm and calculator. You are able to store 100 names and numbers in the phone book even though I only have the odd few (will I ever have 100 friends lol)
It may not be a camera phone etc but it can still access the internet but that is a feature I don't use as I have a computer for that but it is there is I want it I suppose. If you want you can use this function to download ringtones etc, this phone can take Polyphonic ring tones. There are 16 Polyphonic ringtones on the phone already.
Now although games is another thing I don't use the phone for it does have two games stored in it, stack attack and magic picture, my son has tried them and loves them so at least someone is getting the use of them.
This is the kind of phone that if you are not a high user like me it is perfect, I am very happy with my phone.
