To cut a long story short, i ended up buying this phone for my son, although i wasn't as convinced as he would have liked me to be, as to how useful this would be.
As it was to be his first mobile phone, and even though he is a bit of a whizz kid when it comes down to buttons and options, i thought an "easy to use" phone would be best.
Simple to use doesn't necessarily mean that it's cheap or lacking options...in this case, simple just means that even I would be capable to work out how to use it! Well, i am blond... lol! pfff...
We did look around a while (at least one whole week! lol) before choosing the Siemens A65. We found it
attractive in every way.

~~ It's a nice looking phone, shiny silver all over, with a wide screen. The colours and general quality of the screen are bright and clear.
~~ It's a cheap phone, we paid around £50 for it, with the SIM card and 30 minutes to call for free.
~~ the buttons are large, for his big fingers, and have a nice touch to them, they are not too sensitive, nor too rigid.
~~ It's rather light, 75 grams only, but not too small to get forgotten in a pocket before putting it in the washing machine;-)
~~ it has a clip on camera, which, unfortunately, we bought separately. Although the quality of the photos are not that of a numeric camera, it's good enough for the fun uses this one's going to be used for.
So there goes my boy with his new toy... very happy with himself.
Within the evening, he'd already figured it out... he'd got the photo he wanted on his screen (himself in his rugby gear), his favorite song on the alarm to be woken up to (very optimist lad), he'd tested the microphone and recorded a few silly sounds to have a giggle with his brother, ...no, i won't repeat them here...
It did take a good week to get his line working, but that was not the phones fault! Once that going, he tested out the MMS and SMS, which he found very simple and rather fast to use. The phone does have a good reception, even in our rural and hilly country-side!

So as you see that's a lot of features for a "simple" and cheap phone.
It's been a year now since we bought it, and still no regrets. It does hold the battery charge well, and still recharges within the two hours expected when it was new.
Knowing my son, always in competition with his school mates, and what they may have, i was expecting him to ask for another phone, well no, he's still satisfied with this one, which he uses a lot more than i would have thought he would!
So basically, i would recommend it as an "easy to use" phone, also because it's cheap and seems rather solid (even between the hands of my son!). And when i say cheap, you can actually find this one much cheaper than what we paid for it... £20 without the SIM card..... that is pretty dirt cheap!
