Advantages: Efficient use of space, visual control on front , overall performance Disadvantages: No ice box
...We have had this fridge for 18 months now and originally purchased it because of the looks (it was originally around £370 in John Lewis) - Stainless steel exterior. However it has performed excellently over the time we have had it. We were unsure at first about the design with no shelving in the door but we have got used to it now and would not want to change back now. The drinks storage area will fit eight litres of milk and two bottles of wine plus a juice carton. We rarely run out fo space despite using it to store a large quantity of fresh produce and now baby food! The visual dsplay on the front works well to indicate the required temperature and it is certainly the most efficient fridge I have purchased. We haven't missed the lack of an ice box as we have a seperate freezer. For a purchase made primarily because of looks...

Advantages: easy to use, quiet, great look Disadvantages: price
...I purchased this Siemens washing machine approximately two months ago and so far have been very happy with it.
We decided on buying this machine because of the Siemens brand and we liked the different look and colour (matt graphite grey) of the machine . Rather than stick out like a sore thumb like most washing machines do this one complements our old fashioned kitchen beautifully but would go just as well in a a modern kitchen.
Note that Siemens also make a dishwasher and fridge/freezer in this design!
We were also able to benefit from a free five year extended warranty Siemens at the time offered from certain retailers. We bought ours from via the net from greatsaves.co.uk for £465.
The control panel of the machine is very sleek and easy to understand, but still offering a large amount of functions:
There is a choice between easy...

Advantages: Rapid boil, full 360 degree swivel, solidly constructioin Disadvantages: Noisy when boiling, Lid is stiff, filter removal "fiddly"
...The appliance is of stainless steel construction with resin/plastic base. Two power "on "illuminating lamps are fitted at both sides of kettle which is handy (you can have the spout pointing left or right and still see a power "on" light) The kettle is solidly built and has a concealed element (very useful for the hard water areas.) The base is "steady" and provides a 360 degree swivel and there is also a cable storage facility underneath. The water guage and on/off switch are at the rear of the kettle. The spout pours well without any dribbling... so even i dont make a mess!
I hav'nt had a concealed element kettle before, but i have noticed that it does make quite a noise whilst boiling. It does however boil quite rapidly with its 3Kw element. The total water capacity is around 1.8litres.
I have noticed that the lid is becoming "stiff...
