The Siemens M35i is a compact little phone. Slightly sturdier than some, this is it's 'unique' selling point, in a packed market, being waterproof and drop-proof (and I've tried this out many times.. dropping mobile phones being one of my more esoteric hobbies!).
I bought it to replace a 3210, a decision I don't regret for a moment. As for the features, it has the usual things one would expect from a phone. A 100 number address book, a calculator, a currency converter (which is more useful than it might initially appear, but then, I do tend to travel quite a lot), a stopwatch (which I've yet to find a productive use for, not being prone to jogging) and a countdown timer (which I've certainly found a use for - counting down how much time I have left at work - but maybe that doesn't count as a productive use.. oh, only 5.25 hours to go!).
There are four games, and these are one of the more disappointing aspects, because they are all too difficult for me, which probably says more about me than I want to reveal. They are 'Wayout' which is a 3D maze game, Minesweeper, Reversi and Quattropolli (which is a fancy way of saying Connect 4).
The ring tones are a little disappointing. There are 16, and you have the option of composing your own. But Nokia spoilt me by having too many tunes. You can see I always look at the most important aspects when choosing a phone!
This model is a WAP phone. To be honest, I very very rarely use the WAP features so I can't really comment but it seems the same as most others, although the screen is quite small. There is predictive text messaging, and the menu is easy to find your way around. There is a button for the address book and a 'VIP' address book feature which allows you to access your most-used numbers quickly.
The phone has a vibrate-alarm feature, which is always useful when you are at work and you can't have your phone going off at awkward moments. There is a button to lock the keyboard and another one to turn off the sound.
It comes in grey/black or yellow/black. I have a yellow one, and it's very bright! It also gets quite dirty quite quickly and probably doesn't look as classy as the grey one, but I like it anyway.
As for the battery life, it is very good. It's lasted for a couple of days or more, on standby at least, and the charging time isn't so long, but I can't be too scientific about that because I haven't timed it.
All in all, I haven't been disappointed with the M35i. It isn't perfect, but it isn't expensive either. Only Virgin sell it at the moment, which doesn't give one much scope for network choice, but I'd definitely recommend it.

Advantages: WAP enabled, Great features list, Good price, Water/shock resistant, Lightweight, Good battery times Disadvantages: Too many features! May take some time to learn them all.

Advantages: Sturdy, built in aerial, good features, WAP, good sound quality. Disadvantages: Keylock can not always stop keys from being pressed and the power button is a bit small.
