Hey guys, have written something ages ago, but since I am getting married and just moved house I just don't find the time to edit it. Hope it will pick up again soon and I'll have lots of time to write. x

How I fell in love with this mobile phone: Still living in Switzerland, I broke my mobile phone and went to a shop looking for a new one. Before, I always had Nokias, but this time I saw the Siemens SL55 and simply wanted it. Because I am not really a technical hero, the looks did it for me to be honest.
Looks: You can get this tiny beauty (length x width x height = 81.6 x 44.5 x 21.9 mm) in titan and rubin. It slides open and reveals the keyboard. At the beginning I had to get used to it, as the keyboard is different from a Nokia one. After you get the hang of it, it is easy to use. It has a colour screen, which I like. If you search a bit, you will be able to find a case for it. However, as it is quite small, it can be difficult to get a good one.
Technical stuff: Length x with x height = 81.6 x 44.5 x 21.9 mm, 79 gramms, triband, battery standby-time 200 hours, talk time 210 minutes, charging time < than two hours (mine usually takes three if the battery is completely down).
Missing features: Bluetooth, more display colours, FM radio, not water, shock nor dust resistant.
Where to buy it: Go to www.directmobileaccessories.co.uk. Price SIM free 117.89 Pounds. If you want a contract go to www.directmobilephones.com. All the big phone companies offer this phone for free if you choose a contract option, except if you select a basic T-Mobile option.
Advantages: With this phone, you can be sure to get compliments about it. As it is so small, it easily fits into every handbag (yes, even the small ones in which you normally can't even fit your purse). What can I say, it is simply elegant and simple to use - a great accessory.
Disadvantages: As I am clumsy I always drop my mobile phones at some point, with the Nokia ones no problem. I dropped my Siemens one and bang, black screen. Nothing I could do about it, so I took it to a technician. Guess what they told me - it is possible that they cannot fix it! I would have lost all my numbers! Luckily they were able to fix it, but I recommend that you save your numbers somewhere else, just in case.
The battery could last longer and sometimes the phone crashes and you have to wait before you can do anything. When you start the phone, it takes a while until the Siemens is "awake", so you have to wait two minutes before you start typing your messages.
Would I recommend it: Even though there are more disadvantages than advantages, yes, I would recommend it. But only if you are like me and you are not looking for a technical genius as your mobile phone companion.

You really are good at this Shanon! I'm a Nokia fan, but as a businessman my prioreties are very specific in a phone, it has to be 100% reliable, bombproof (my last one drowned in a paddling pool!) and easy to use in a hands free kit in the car. Oh yes, it has to be capable of picking up a good signal deep into Eastern Europe too!
