the cordless base has a lip around the connector in the centre this makes most of the kettle not sit actually on the base, so it look like its floating in the air a bit, its still very sturdy on the base,
the handle feels very strong
the main problem is that if you fill up the kettle with water to around the maximum, the steam from the boiling water with slowly come out around the entire lid, so you end up with an area of boiled water around the lid
the kettle poors well and performs well as a kettle, boiling in good time,
i beleive people may buy this kettle and realise they have wasted a lot of money and then return it for a return
i kept the kettle and sold it on ebay for £50,
so if you do buy it and realise you have wasted a lot of money, you can get at least half back,
there are lots of kettles on the market, with lots of different features, this kettle has no interesting new features
i have also had experience using the matching toaster, which is very difficult to use and one has been returned faulty on arrival,
Advantages: Fast boiling, stylish design Disadvantages: Electrical fault blew electrics, leaks water everywhere
...getting a replacement for this because I discarded the packaging and Siemens won't take it back for a refund without it. However, it seems neither durable nor reliable and I wish I'd spent a lot less money on something which would do the job for more than 3 months. ...

Quick review of Siemens TW 911P2 Porsche
It looks good! Most people buy a kettle to boil water and just boil water. I like a kettle that also boils water but does it with style. The lid mechanism is smooth. However if you have lime scale it can block and the once smooth mechanism tends to stick. The "on" button can be tempremental but that might be my fat man fingers. This kettle is easy on the eye, it will last longer than most and will look good in any kitchen. All this comes at a price! ...

Advantages: Looks fantastic in a modern setting Disadvantages: I have never paid so much for a kettle in my life!
I think you pay for the design of the product and not just its performance, but I love this kettle, which I bought in a sale after the Russell Hobbs one I owned before this one started leaking.
This kettle is great for someone who is truly design-conscious and who wants a kettle that boils water quickly. I prefer not to eat my breakfast at work, and I like that I can make myself a nice cup of coffee fast before I have to leave home for work in the ... ...switch on or off by pressing a button. The reason I am not giving five stars for this kettle is that it isn't cheap. That said, I think evaluating whether this product is good value for money depends on how long it lasts (I have owned it for for about 10 months now; had no choice but to select poor for "Value for money" for my review to be published). ...
