This time jenny and Kim tell their story from how they seen it growing up. In the first book behind closed doors jenny had a boyfriend called john she was still with him in the second book, he was a very loving man and took care of jenny, one day Kim told jenny that she wanted to go on an adventure and jenny got it into her head that she wanted to go along with her she loved john very much and didn’t want to hurt him but this was just to good an opportunity to miss so as much as it hurt them both she ended it with john, and so they set off they got two job as waitresses in Butlins that also had accommodation when they arrived jenny had a really bad temperature and was really unwell for the first couple of days, but she had to pull her self together and go to work or loose her job it was very hard but she got through it in the end. Jenny and Kim entered into the camps beauty compotation and jenny won she received a trophy and I think it was ₤25 prize, but they didn’t get to celebrate for long as both jenny and Kim got the sac because the boss normally wins and she didn’t like it jenny was striped of the trophy she had the money taken off her. It wasn’t so bad because on the same day they where leaving two boys where also leaving and they said that they could tag along. They stayed in hotels that both jenny and Kim thought the two boys where paying for until they awoke one morning to find that they where gone because none of them hand any money they where throne out of the hotel.
Kim decided to call it a day and go back home but jenny wasn’t finished her adventure yet so she stayed. When Kim got home she found a boyfriend and soon fell pregnant. Jenny had found a job in a B&B it came with accommodation so it was great. Jenny soon received a letter to say that Kim had, had a baby girl so jenny handed in her notice and got the next train back to London. This is when Jennie’s nightmare started again.
When she got back she tried to patch things up with john with no success and they went their separate ways. She soon found a man called Keith Kim didn’t like him much he reminded her of her father (and she wasn’t wrong). Keith came across as loving caring man he smoked dope but jenny didn’t mind he never had a job but always had money so jenny suspected that he also sold dope. The abuse from him started off with him pushing her but soon escalated to punching and hitting it soon got to a stage that jenny had to walk about with her head down and not look at anyone or he would get jealous and hit her when she got home. Jenny fell pregnant she didn’t know how to tell Keith because she didn’t know how he would react but he was over the moon with the idea of becoming a dad. (Jenny had got a house for her and Keith at this point; she was staying with Kim before). But the beatings kept on coming she tried to leave him but jenny kept on going back because she was freighted of becoming a single parent and she wanted both the parents to involve with her baby. But the beatings just kept coming and coming she eventually got homeless accommodation with the salvation army Keith wasn’t aloud in because it was full of single mothers ready to have their babies and give them up for adoption but jenny was determined she was keeping her baby. Keith was aloud to take her out he treated jenny good when she was in here he took her out for meals and bought her nice things.
When jenny had to be induced to have her baby it wasn’t the easiest birth and to top it all off the nurses took a big Jamaican man into her room and said here is the daddy they thought he was the dad because the baby had such dark skin she wasn’t pleased. Keith did turn up and played the dotting dad bit. Jenny called the baby Martine when she left the hospital jenny had to move into her parent’s house it did make her cringe but she cleaned it up best she could when the housing officer come around she got a new house almost immediately and she moved in with her new baby.
The abuse got worse with Keith and it turned into sexual abuse her life was getting together with Keith splitting up with him after his violent attacks and moving house to get away from him.
I’m not going to say any more about I will let you find out for your self’s what happens in the end, I will say thou its not all doom and gloom.
I hope use enjoy it as much as I did.
I bought this book for ₤3.95 from Tesco.

I dont even know if this will reach Jenny Tomlin but I am hoping that she someone will read this
I am very touched and feel like I have been touched by an Angel after reading this book. Jenny you are an amazing lady, you are so strong willed and I think that your endurance has paid off.
I have found a way to a better life after reading your book. I would have to say this is the best written book I have ever read. Your Sister Kim is also a strong ... ...reading the horrible parts of your childhood and how it all continued into adulthood.
I am amazed that you never gave up hope, after so many dead ends, you stayed strong and grasped on to hope.
I am a struggling single mother,at 22 and trying to make the best life for me and my son. I had him at 18 and although I was upset that his father refused to meet him, and probably never will, my views have changed after reading your book, and I now think ...

Manufacturer's product description
For years, Jenny and sister Kim suffered horrendous physical and sexual abuse at the hands of their father. They survived in part because of their closeness and their determination to be there for each other. Both sisters left home at the earliest opportunity to escape but before long, Jenny was embroiled in a relationship with anabusive man that kept her locked in a cycle of violence and fear. Their lives followed parallel paths, with first marriage, then kids and always the terror that things would never change. Eventually, with a lot of love, grit and courage they helped each other to climb out of the pit of despair and truly free themselves from the legacy of the past. Every bit as harrowing and inspiring as "Behind Closed Doors", this is a story of the power of unstintingly loyal love.
