I have never bought a brand new mattress but at age 27 after getting hit in the back by a car doing 60mph I thought id try this one. I went from 5 to 7 hours of broken sleep to sleeping for 9 to 12 hours and was like a zombie for 2 weeks untill I got used to sleeping deeply again. Obviously I was easily pleased due to previously only having the cheapest argos option but this did feel nice as it was a mixture of firm/flat and soft/supple. I tried full memory foam in shop but I felt like I sunk into it so far I couldnt roll over.

After hearing about sweat and heat issues with foam only im glad I didnt go for it as mine is still pretty manic in the summer unless you only use a single sheet as a duvet. Latex material is hydroscopic by nature and will wick moisture from you easily making it smell like a wet spaniel in a matter of days if you dont use a good protector sheet. Do not do what I did and think you can use it and look around for a protector after it arrived because it will need drying out and cleaning. I doubt this mattress will be suited to a damp room so could be worth buying a cheap hydrometer on ebay to measure moisture in the air as this is like a sponge. Also measure your stairways as this doesnt like bending and ruined the paintwork in my brand new house trying to jam it up the semi spiral steps.

Now for the major downfall. Im 12 stone and over 6 feet tall and I like the larger ladies both tall and wide. I didnt see any weight limits in the warranty section but my bedstead was 18st per person which has pretty much been adhered to. The springs have considerably compressed on one side and there is a visible dip even on my side. Along with this over the last three years it seems to get firmer and firmer. Also I know you shouldnt sit on the edge but when it was in a small flat it was unavoidable and has left a bum shaped indent.

In this size its huge allowing two people to spread right out and relax without any transfer of movements. If you like a nice slightly firm mattress and your under 12 stone id recommend this mattress but any heavier it really wont last more than a few years. So its worked out around 133 pounds per year of good sleep and if I wanted to moan and replace it silentnight offer a sliding scale replacement warranty up to the 5th year. So I could apply for a replacement with 40% off the rrp. If I can choose a different mattress type I might look into doing this while im still in the 3rd year. Night.
