Advantages: leaves legs extremely smooth,isn't painful to use
Disadvantages: time consuming,can't get around the back of the leg properly,leaves some patches

...when I came across the Silkymit gloves I was pretty much willing to try anything and bought a pack to test out. Now I came across these in a Wilkinsons store for just 79p, but I have seen them in plenty of other shops, such as Boots, Superdrug and most leading supermarkets, but obviously the price varies for each one and I think that Wilkinsons has been the cheapest so far. They come in sets of 3 in packaging roughly about the size of a CD case ...
...you have finished using your Silkymit all you need to do is get rid of the dead skin just by gentle rinsing your legs with cool water and then wrap them in a damp towel for a while. Lastly all you need to do is moisturise and you're done! If you have sensitive skin you will be left a little red for a short while, but this soon subsides (unlike shaving) leaving beautifully smooth legs, perfect in time for summer. The search for the perfect hair removal method. Will it ever end? I've tried them all- waxing, shaving, depilatory creams, epilators...and now, silkymits. Silky mitts are great for occasional use only! They are cheap and cost effective but do really rub off a couple of layers of the skins. When I have used them more than once a week it made my skin sore. They are also not so great if you want to pre-long your tan or using fake tan as it goes blotchy. Advantages: Cheap and easy to use, no need for water, not messy
Disadvantages: Hair grows back quicker than after waxing

...I have been using Boots Silky Mits for a few years. These are gloves you slip over your hand and in a circular motion you remove the hair from your legs. It is very fine sandpaper essentially, but does not hurt or damage the skin in the least. It is quick - about 3 minutes for each leg and is cheap. Three of the mits cost a bit more than a pound. Hair grows back as normal but is less stubbly than after shaving. Also because the mits have an exfoliating effect the skin is very smooth afterwards. I would recommend a good moisturiser afterwards. As you don't need water to use them and they are very light to carry they are ideal for holidays or quick touch ups for a night out. Also there is no problem with ingrown hairs afterwards. Would only use it for legs and arms though. I think you shouldn't use it on the bikini line... Read review
