Defense Grid: The Awakening is a good game.

Advantages: Fun addictive gameplay, nice fitting graphics and has good clear voice acting.
Disadvantages: No multiplayer which is a big shame.

Defense Grid: The Awakening, is a good enough game to be enjoyable to most. It has decent graphics that are fitting and appealing enough to keep you interested. The textures are a bit low res though and are stretched across rocks and look bad because of this. You have a computer talking to you through-out the game with nice clear voice acting. The music is nice too. The multiplayer is non-existent which is a shame, because I think the style of gameplay this has would be great with co-op. It's game style is great, it's fun, addictive and I could play for hours at a time. Gameplay It is a tower defence game, and is splendidly done to boot. The controls are nice and are fluid and fun to use. You have a crosshair of sorts and it's placed on the center of the screen. You move your mouse and the camera moves across the map, and your ...

Advantages: Fascinating, compelling, unique [insert lots of praiseworthy words here]
Disadvantages: Wealth of medical terminology, lots of literary allusions/psychology/philosophy-can be hard going

profession as the patients ?awoke? from their Parkinsonian state. Awakenings was written by Oliver Sacks (the young doctor in question), several years later using his notes that he took at the time of the drug trials. Now a highly respected professor of clinical neurology he has also shown a great talent for writing and this book is a fascinating read. The core of the book is the case studies, twenty individual assessments on the patients who received the ?miracle drug? and their individual battles and reactions to L-Dopa. Doctor Sacks has included a great deal of information about their lives before they contracted the virus and has endeavoured to show the individual reactions to the disease as well as the effect it had on their families. Some of these stories are immensely sad; lives cut short in their prime or before they had even begun ...

Face your enemies in Earth 2160

Advantages: Great graphics, easy to control 3d environment, extra cd with soundtracks, downloadable extra maps
Disadvantages: can't see any

. The number of strategy games on the market is multiplying very fast. Some of them are simply boring or end too quickly. Because of that it is not easy to find a really good game and enjoy it every single time. With Earth 2160 does not matter if you play a few hours every day, once a week or month. Each time you find something new. When I say new I mean for example terrain, number of opponents and their type, difficulties level and so on. The most important and valuable thing of this game is skirmish mode. Thanks that option each game is different and gives you opportunity to challenge yourself against computer's IQ. Each time when changing the difficulties level, opponents behave cleverer. What I Found very valuable in Earth 2160 is that computer is not repeating the same moves all the time or not placing same building in same place ...
