Advantages Advantages Very addictive, Good simulation, Brilliant gameplay

Disadvantages Disadvantages Nont very advanced graphicas (Graphics arn't everything)

Sim City on the Super Nintendo entertainment system (SNES) in my opinion was the best version of any of the Sim City games, Sim City 2000 and Sim City 3000. Many have said that it was ‘Nintendoised’ and they were spot on, that’s what made it so good. Nintendo had added a little of their magic the this title, this game would keep you occupied, addicted for hours, you just couldn’t put this game down, it was brilliant. For those who haven’t come across any Sim City games before may be wondering what I am on about, what is Sim City? Sim City is all about you, the ... more

Advantages Advantages First of its kind on a console, addictive

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor graphics, Not as good as PC version

Sim City on the SNES is a bit of a let down compared to the PC version. The graphics are very poor and that can be a bit off putting I also found it very hard to build a big city without cheating. The little professor who you can turn to for help is a good touch, but sadly this is the only thing that is better than the PC version. Still if you have a SNES I still recommend this game to you as it is a classic game, You just need to look how popular Sim City 2000 and 3000 are to see that the basic idea in it is good. It can also be quite addictive! Ive been up to the early hours of the morning ... more

    Advantages Advantages New features

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No mouse

When I first played the SNES version of Sim City I was to say the least surprised after playing the PC version i was expecting to see the same thing on the SNES. It was not to be SimCity has been Nintendofied, which is a good thing the whole thing feels different, looks different and act differently. There are also some new features like the proffesor chap who you can turn to and ask for advise. The drawback is this: after playing it on the PC I found it difficults to use with out a mouse but that initial disscomfort wore off eventualy. It is also made difficult by the fact that you are unable ... more

    Advantages Advantages Original gameplay, disasters

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too difficult, naff graphics

Aah, Sim City. That most wonderous of strategy games. Everyone's heard of it. Everyone's played it. No-one I know has ever done well on it. Sim City on the SNES is impossible! You could start off with the most plausible, well fouded city ever, but still lose funds, people, and everntually go bankrupt. And of course, if that doesn't work, there's always a disaster around the corner... To be fair, though, Sim City is a pretty well thought out game. You have to look after many aspects of your city and it's life. Make sure your citizens are happy, provide power to homes, look after traffic ... more
