Simple baby Shampoo- Simple baby shampoo is designed with no added perfumes or colourings and aims to be as gentle as possible on delicate babies skin. The shampoo is designed to leave your babies hair clean, undamaged, soft and shiny. Coming in a clean looking white bottle with yellow and green writing Simple baby shampoo appears as exactly that- simple, its design is unfussy and uncomplicated leaving you to concentrate on the product itself, it's designed to stand on it's dispensing end meaning that you get the most of every drop of the shampoo without excessive squeezing of the bottle.
The shampoo is a thick clear liquid and has no smell to it at all, even when water is added or it's applied to the hair there is no scent.

Our Experience- We were given our initial bottle of Simple baby shampoo when Elsa was born, nearly 2 years ago, as part of a gift bundle from a relative, initially she had so little hair that it hardly seemed worth using the shampoo but gradually as her hair started growing longer and her tiny grubby fingers started applying various food kinds to her locks we realised shampoo had become a must.
Simple baby shampoo is one of those products where a little really goes a long way and we only need the smallest blob of the product for Elsa's hair, it lathers up really quickly and produces a good enough foam to completely cover her scalp and coat all the hair well. When rinsed out the hair is left clean and fresh with no tangles which is perfect for us as Elsa is a fidget at the best of times, so combing a tangled mess of hair is never an easy task.
I like that the product is free from perfumes and colours, knowing how sensitive Christopher's skin is in general I wouldn't want a product even mixing with their bath water if there was any chance he could have a reaction to it, as it is I can wash Elsa's hair when they are bathing together and not worry that his skin will flare up. Another benefit from the shampoo is that it doesn't effect Elsa's eyes when rinsed out, other products including "no more tears" ones have upset her while washing her hair and have made it near impossible in the past but Simple doesn't bother her at all and she'll actually let me near her with the stuff unlike other brands we've used.
I know that any product like this will never be totally free of nasty "ingredients" but Simple really does seem to hold up on it's promise of being gentle to delicate hair and sensitive skin, we've had no reactions with Elsa's skin since using the product and her hair is always lovely after washing, we also noticed a distinct drop in cradle cap (a skin condition many young babies suffer on their scalp) when we were using Simple on Elsa in her younger days. Because of the small amount needed when being used the bottle lasts a good amount of time which makes it great value for money and it's suitable for the whole family not just babies, I've caught hubby using it a few times but have told him off because he has his own more expensive shampoo that I hate to see being wasted.
Overall this is a great product for young babies, children and grown ups, it does it's job and is reasonably priced, perfect for sensitive and delicate skin, I can highly recommend it.
Advantages: Gets baby clean quickly with minimum fuss Disadvantages: Costs a little more than the average competitor
...into my heaving trolley was Simple Baby Shampoo (along with the gel and the baby bath) and it was one of the best small purchases I made.
The advert for it says much the same as many of the other available products (as taken from the SImple Baby site)...
"Simple Baby Moisturising Shampoo gently cleanses your baby’s hair leaving it soft and shiny Helps to protect and moisturise your baby’s scalp No tears, easily rinses away, non drying Suitable ... ...achieve your aim however with SImple Baby, as I said before, a small squirt will do the job,
It lathers up well and quickly and rinses off just as quickly - ideal if your child has an aversion to being in the bath or hates water on their head.
My daughter is nearly ten months old and I have just started my second bottle. That doesn't mean I don't wash her it means that it is excellent value for money.
Because it is fragrance free you don;t get ...

Advantages: Additive and perfume free. Disadvantages: No fragrance.
Simple baby shampoo is perfect for sensitive skin especially newborns. It has also been approved by Paediatricians and is Hypoallergenic and pH balanced! This shampoo comes in a very secure bottle with a lift up cap that is really firm so doesn't come loose easily and leak! It also has pads inside to stop it squirting everywhere which I found very useful!!
You simple squirt a little amount onto hand or babys head and lather until you see bubbles ... ...only costs £1.25 for all Simple products! The only disadvantage is it doesn't fragrance babys hair. Sometimes it is nice for your little one to smell baby fresh but this hasn't got perfume as fragrances are normally too harsh on baby skin. If the Paediatricians approve this product it must be fantastic and I can tell you it is! ...

Advantages: fragrance free, only need small amount, great for sensitive skin Disadvantages: non spill cap squirts out too much
This shampoo is a must for any baby/child/adult with sensitive skin. The consistency of this product is great so you only need a small amount which lathers up wonderfully. This shampoo is fragrance free which is a nice change from the usual overpowering smells from other leading shampoo's, it leaves your hair fantastically clean but without the unecessary and harsh perfume.
The packaging suits well, nice and simple. The bottle is freestanding that ... ...a tight corner in the bath
The only downfall to this shampoo is the non spill cap, it squirts out too much shampoo if you only need a tiny amount for a baby or small child.
The hair is left soft, clean and tangle free.
Overall a highly recommended shampoo. ...

Advantages: Gentle and beautiful fragrance!! Disadvantages: Shampoo comes out too quick as there isn't any gel pads inside.
I have only used two babyshampoo's in the past 9 weeks - Simple and Johnson's.
Johnson's BabyShampoo is so gentle and smells lovely. It also cleans hair very well as any parent will know how messy babies are! My little one tends to vomit often after feeds and ends up with sick around the back of her head and Johnson's leaves her scalp smelling fresh and clean. This shampoo leaves hair feeling silky soft and doesn't dry out the scalp.
I dislike the bottle as if you are bathing baby alone you have to support baby (obviously a bath support would be so much easier!!) and then open the bottle cap and put some in your hand or directly onto babys head which proves to be difficult as there isn't any pads around the hole where the shampoo comes from to stop it squirting out so quick you have a mess of bright yellow, beautiful smelling ...
Advantages: Both hands free during bath time Disadvantages: The toys is'nt much fun
Bathing babies is hard at the best of time's but when you have an older child in the bath at the same time it can be very hard, so when i saw the safety first bath seat i thought i've got to get me one of those!
Bathing is now very simple, your baby will be able to enjoy sitting up independantly on his own while playing with water and bath toys. Also thing's like getting the shampoo or the bath towel are made easier by using the Safety 1st bath seat, you are totaly hands free while using this seat.
So if you are like me and have addtitional children, the Safety 1st bath seat allows you to pay a bit of attention to them, rather than them having to have a seperate bath because you are unable to care for two children in the bath at once. ...
