Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes are a product I have been using for quite some time, and I continue to use them for their effective yet 'easy on the skin' cleansing properties.
Simple, is run by a larger company - Accandia and is just one of it's titles. They also own Lil lets, Dove cotten wool, and Simple skin defence for men. Simple was launched in 1960, and marketed as a brand that would specifically care for sensitive skin. With over 40 years of experience, it's ranges have grown in size and variety. It proudly holds the belief that we should care for our skin by simply applying the right products and not the bad ones, advocates a healthy state of mind and body, and thinks their formulations 'hold the key to healthy skin'. I'd be inclined to agree that their products do.
Caring for skin as a whole, research has shown me that they concentrate on specific key areas to help people choose a product designed specially for their skin. I like this about Simple as it shows you they're not just out to make money and promote their image around town,
they really do want to cater for individual skin types too. They have products for oily and combination, dry, sensitive and they also have cleansers etc. for those lucky to be blessed with normal! As well as those, they have treatment products such as cleansing scrubs and facial masks.
The wipes themselves...
Simple Cleansing Wipes, are apparantly the number one cleanser in the UK - advertised on a green sticker to the top right of the pack. This shows they're doing the job well, and they've obviously built up quite a stir in the beauty world to be awarded such a title.
What exactly are they?
They're basically a cotten like soft moist wipe, similar to the look and size of a tissue. With the special Simple ingredients, they claim to remove all makeup and even waterproof mascara. 25 of these wipes are encased in a light green 'simply' designed pack.
On the top of the pack is the entrance via an easily pulled up plastic tab. Once inside, pull out a single wipe and using both sides if you so wish (will save you using another) wipe gently across the face, and neck to remove makeup and impurities. Once finished with the wipe throw it away in a bin, - as easy as that!

I find them invaluable in my skin regime. Quick, and very refreshing on my skin. You may find that the drilled in to us - cleanse tone and moisturise routine is a little time consuming. Maybe you don't want to and can't spend half the night cleaning your skin before you go to bed. Maybe you just want to go to bed! This is an excellent idea and way to skip ahead in the routine. At the back of the pack you'll see the directions for use along with the Simple 3 step skincare routine. As always it is 3 steps - cleanse tone and moisturise. But you'll also notice a little further up in blue lettering, the words cleanses, tones and refreshes. These wipes claim to do all of this, and there will be no need to tone. Effectively removing all makeup particles on the skin, will eliminate any need for another cleanser or toner. You're then free to move on to moisturising, (unless you wish to use any additional product) and then to collapsing onto the nearest soft surface for a snooze!
If you do have oily or sensitive skin this is definitely the product for you and will do it's job brilliantly. It is 100% oil and alcohal free, and the wipes are completely free of perfume and colours so there will be no need to worry that excess oil is getting into pores, and therefore worsening oily conditions, or that chemicals in the wipes will irratate skin easily affected by them.
Other ranges...
The company also produces a new range - Simple Oil Control products, made up of wipes, a foaming facial wash, a toner, an exfoliator wash and a shine manager moisturiser. I haven't used any products out of this range so can't comment on them, but they do seem from the sound of the them to be useful in what it concentrates on - oil control. I have used their revitalising double action wipes, in the same amount, in white and green coloured packs. These, while doing the same cleaning job, have two sides to the wipe. One side removes dead skin cells, and is lightly textured so that it leaves skin nice and smooth, while the second side wipes away all makeup.
Along with these I use a moisturiser, and every now and then a deeper facial wash to clean deep down into my skin. I do often get a few odd spots every now and then but try to control them with a good cleansing ritual and by drinking water. Though the body can just do what it wants some of the time, no matter what you do!
Availability and price...
The price of a pack of wipes is on average £2.70. Boots sells them for £2.71. You might be able to get them cheaper if you shop elsewhere like in Savers shops. Always look out for offers like buy one get one free, and double packs that slash the prices, as they are very often around to be taken advantage of. I do feel the price is reasonable, I of course wouldn't mind them being cheaper but find I am getting pretty good value for money with 25 wipes in the pack. And I use them up within 2 and a half to 3 weeks, so they don't go too quickly.
They're pretty much available in most shops that sell cosmetics and skincare products. Boots, Savers, and most major supermarkets like Asdas will stock them.
This product certainly helps in keeping the skin clean, and being one of the leading products in the UK it's clearly doing everything right. It not only saves time and money by allowing you to cut out unneeded products in a regime, but could even help improve your skin tone and complexion with enough use. These dermalogically approved wipes made by the now well known Simple, I think will continue to be successful. I recommend completely - wipe away!
