The Packaging
A recyclable packaging which is light-weight. A light green wrapper with a re-sealable white sticker for an opening (similar to baby-wipes). I have found that this could be a bit stickier. With 25 wipes in the pack, you open this at least 25 times and it starts to loose it’s stickiness. For best results I would recommend storing the product upside down so that the weight of the un-used wipes ensures the opening is kept sealed to ensure your wipes do not dry out. Ingredients – what’s in them and more importantly what’s not in them!:
Simple Wipes are made using pure, natural ingredients (for example citric acid, sodium citrate) and in addition no animal derived ingredients are used in any of their products. No alcohol is used which ensures that these wipes do not dry out your skin. The wipes are oil free which keeps your skin matt and free from grease. No perfume, colour, harsh chemicals are used, as you would expect from any Simple Product. This product has been dermatologically tested and approved.
Directions:
Directions on the packaging suggests using one wipe to gently wipe over eyelids, face and neck to cleanse the skin. After use it is recommended to dispose in the bin and do not flush.
Packaging Suggestions VS My opinion:
Packaging suggestion no 1: Removed waterproof mascara My opinion: I have found that the wipes are effective at removing eye makeup, including waterproof mascara however I find the wipes to be quite harsh on my eyelashes and I opt to use simple eye makeup remover on a cotton pad to remove eye makeup and use the wipes to remover foundation etc.
Packaging suggestion no 2: These wipes not only cleanse but they refresh and tone your skin. My opinion: These are very good wipes, but used alone are not sufficient to cleanse AND tone. I use the wipes and then I use a simple toner (and the pads are still coloured by my makeup which suggests the wipes do not remove every trace of makeup).
Packaging Suggestion no 3: One wipe is required My opinion: Because I use eye make-up removed first, I find that I only need half a wipe as they are quite big. The wipes tear easily in the middle and I just poke the extra bit back inside the packet – this makes them last twice as long and reduces wastage.
Extra Information:
I have been using these wipes for a while and recently noticed a slight change in the wipes. They are now slightly rougher than before which gently exfoliates my skin. I have had problems in the past using other brands of facial wipes, such as greasy skin, spots and makeup not going on properly after using them, however I had NONE of these problems using Simple’s wipes.
Cost and Availability:
The simple range is widely available in cosmetic stores, chemists and supermarkets and prices (depending where you shop) are around £2.99. Bodycare do a double pack for £3.99 and Boots often do 3 for 2 on simple products. The simple website offers product packs which appear reasonable but then when P&P is added is works out about the same as you would pay in store, but their product packs are really cool and most include a facial wipe – worth a look!

Advantages: Slices beauty routine in half, saves money on eye make up remover and cotton wool, easy to carry around if necessary, well priced. Disadvantages: Packaging isn't too glamourous, scores low on the 'I'm spoiling myself' factor.
