This is a must have for any simpsons fan, as usual Homer has to try and save the day (which is difficult for someone of his limited brain power) in this wacky, fun game.

Homer, Marge, Lisa and Bart have to set out to save the town of Springfield in dangerous and risky missions. They team up with all the other weird and wonderful characters to make a wonder ful game.

COINS

Coins can be used as in most games to buy cars and clothes for the different characters to use in different missions. Collect as many coins as you can by destroying basically anything, vending machines, trees, lamposts, jumping boxes, wasps, giant chess peices and swings.

CARS

The cars vary in hit and run in the first level there are 4 set cars 3 of which you can buy from salesmen across the town. (you will know if they are salesmen because they have a dollar sign over them). The set car as you might have guessed is the Simpson pink family car which isnt the best but its alright for wandering around town. You can also get any car you want from around springfeild, unfortunately there is only about 3 types in each level but if youre stuck and got no cash then they are a safe bet.

HIT AND RUNNING

Everyhere you go your smash meter will always follow you- and if you hit too many obstacles the police will be alerted. As you know clancy Wiggum isnt the sharpest tool, so its easy to get away from him. You can either

1. Out corner the police with sneaky shortcuts, there are plenty around. You will need a good handaling car for this, so dont get a truck.

2. Smash into the police, now this doesnt always work- but its fun when it does. Get the plow king from Barney for this and simply just let the police car smash into you and watch them explode.

or3. Eccelerate the police away, for this you either need an mpv or a pickup and accelerate away.

If you dont chose any of theses options or just unfortunately get court, you will have 50 coins taken away from you, not that much but still a lot if youve only got 30!

DAMAGE

If you cause too much damage to a car you will see gradually darkening smoke come from the engine. You can easily repair this by driving or running through a giant wrench (located all around springfield) or you can use a phone booth by pressing y by one and phoning for a car. It will cost 5 coins phioning to repair your car if it is completely destroyed. As usual different cars take different times to destroy. Flimsy cars usually take about three knocks before breaking into flames but cars like the plow king or the duff lorry take huge battering.

GAMEPLAY

The general gameplay of this is good if not a little short and easy. In my opinion if the game was longer then people would have more respect for it instead of leaving it on the shelf and buying GTA instead. A good game for all simpsons nuts and more realistic than any other distinctly more sour simpsons games.

MY VERDICT:8/10

Oops... sorry about the double comment, I'm not sure how that happened!

Hi there Good run-down on the overall gameplay, but what about the graphics, sound, control., etc? Still, good to see there there CAN be a decent Simpson's game! (Mind you the original coin-op from years ago was pretty good fun...)
