The game is played with two microphones which are purchased seperately for around £30-£35 with all the necessary equipment and one of the singstar games (not all games are available with the microphones which is a shame!).
The aim of the game is ... ...you score points based on how well you are doing. You also receive a rating for each line (such as cool, or bad etc).
The only songs on this game which aren't sung by females are Take That (Featuring Lulu), Dear Or Alive, Scissor Sisters and Queen (any Queen song is an anthem!).

The aim of the game is to match the pitch and/or tone of the note and you score points based on how well you are doing. You also receive a rating for each line (such as cool, or bad etc).
The only songs on this game which aren't sung by females are Take That (Featuring Lulu), Dear Or Alive, Scissor Sisters and Queen (any Queen song is an anthem!).
The game is great fun for the whole family and providing you can read the lyrics or know the tune of the song there is no reason why anybody need to be excluded from the family fun.
I personally enjoy belting out a great loud song even though I'm an awful singer!

I was a little disappointed that the disc only contained 20 tracks as most contain around 30 but this is still one of my favourite discs (mainly because it has Crazy Chick!)
My favourites: Crazy Chick, Don't Cha and I wanna Dance With Somebody.
My not so favourite: You Spin Me Round, I've Never Been To Me & Free
I love the fact that you get to watch the original videos to and doesn't everybody want to get that rating of ultimate Singstar.
A memory card is a great addition to playing this game as it allows you to save all of your high scores so that when your friends play and think that they've scored amazingly they might just get a nasty surprise to see that your name is already at the top of the leaderboard!
This game is best used with the USB Eye Toy Camera as it adds additional features to the game which are great (especially when you use the playback feature at the end of the song).
Advantages: Full licenced songs (not clips) Disadvantages: Not enough "Anthems" for ultimate experience
...a karaoke diva to buy singstar is inevitable, now i'm not sure about you but does some media sources automatically class "Anthems" as songs that have appeared or are perceived to attract the gay culture?

* Bucks Fizz - Making your mind up [entered the Eurovision Song Contest in 1983 and won, where does one not place the gay stamp the entering or the winning part?]
* Charlene - I've Never Been To Me [On the soundtrack ... ...although I do own Popworld Singstar also, i some much prefer this one (Anthems).

...i wanna dance with somebody... singstar anthems is one of nine singstar ps2 games. i first got the first singstar (named singstar) in 2004 and have been collecting them ever since. You can buy singstars with or without microphones which i have got plenty of. Also it is enhanced with EYETOY usb camera which you plug into your ps2 and watch yourself singing. It is fantastic for parties or just having a laugh with 20 great songs with the music video! ... ...singstar party (released 19th november 2004)

Singstar for the Play station 2 .......
My daughters Loves to sing and i feel this is a good way for them to do this!
The better they do, the points go up and it's a fun way for them to learn the songs. whenever a new singstar comes out They would always be the 1st to buy it and will be singing all day long; Athems is their Favourite and they own a lot, they sing to all the songs whilst having fun and trying to beat eachother on the leader board; ... ...children bring round friends. out of the 20 songs they Love 16 espically Charlotte Church -Crazy chick, LeAnn Rimes- Can't find the moonlight and even Bonnie tyler- Total Eclipse of the heart. Background info on this product....... before you begin the game you need to decide which mode you will like to play, these include sing solo, party mode, free style and charts. Singstar is so amazing it makes you want to sing!!!
You can either buy it seperatly which there are lots of singstars which is for all ages you have got . . .

There is the new one and that one is called ... ...a ps2 if you decide to get one!
This is so good it improves your singing aswell so if you have a bad voice just get up on singstar!
If you are thinking it is confusing its not its just like kareoke but better and you can play back what you sound like even in a baby voice if you want to.
Its round about £20 if your looking to buy and the packiging is very nice! I have now got 3 i am hoping to get the whole collection its so good.
The only disadvantage ...
