As with other Singstar games, it measures your pitch so if you can't reach the exact note you can sing it an octave higher or lower. I found this especially useful when singing Depeche Mode, but I still can't quite get Barry White right!

As with the other games you have the words along the bottom of the screen and bars to show the notes you need to hit. You are scored according to how well you sing the song and get "line bonus" for singing the whole line correctly, and extra points for hitting Golden Notes.
Some of the tracks are accompanied by the original videos or live footage, but as you would assume because of the age of other tracks, this has not been possible for all of them. Instead we have some neat musical graphics to accompany the song. If you have the Eye-Toy you can have a video of yourself while you are singing!

If you fancy a Singstar marathon you can change discs between the games and carry on playing with different versions without resetting your machine.
Again we had good fun playing this with my parents on Christmas Day, and my Mum liked the games so much she's made me leave ALL OF THEM and my microphones at her house!

Singstar legends is one of the amazing singstar collection which I am a massive fan of! The concept of the game is to sing with two microphones which work by being plugged in to a special box with a USB port which works with the PS2. You sing along to the tracks and have to try and match the pitch and tone of the original song. There are many discs in the collection and I own quite a few (which I intend on reviewing individually). Legends is definitely ... ...to be songs that everybody knows and should cover most age ranges pretty well. I don't personally think that Pet Shop Boys & Blur are Legends but that's just personal opinion of course. I would have liked to see Queen, The Beatles etc just to make it to ultimate legends disc but there are plenty of other songs to choose from which are absolutely cracking. The game can be played from 1-8 players and this particularly disc can be used with the USB ...

The singstar series has proved a huge success, with 7 discs and over 200 tracks to choose from. The latest offering, possibly the last on PS2, is Singstar Legends.
As with all the previous versions, the basic aims remains the same, sing to accumulate points. Don't worry, even if you are not a god singer, the ability to change difficulty means any performer can be top of the charts! As the title suggests, Singstar Legends has some of the biggest ... ...'Sing-Song' that featured in Singstar 80's. When paying this much for a game, i would like to actually see some change and improvements.
My favourite song has to be Barry White - You're The First, The Last, My Everything, just because he is such a LEGEND! there really is something for everyone on Singstar Legends though.
There is rumour that this will be the last Singstar for the PS2, as we await the release of the PS3 . The big news being the ...

I first came across Singstar about 2 years ago at a friends house. It was good fun and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I mentioned it to my parents went i got home but nothing come of it. Zooming forwards to Christmas 2006, our family decided to get a game, for all of us. We eventually decided on getting a singstar game, after a hint from me, and we ended up getting the legends version as it had recently come out, and we thought it would be ideal for all ... ...case, this version of the game is not suitable for children as they will not know any of the songs and therefore will not enjoy it as much. 16-20 may find some enjoyment in the game if they know the older songs but they still will not get the most out of the game. The over twenties will absolutely love this game as it will be right in their comfort zone and the songs are recognizable to them. We had a small practice before christmas day, but only ...

SingStar is a competitive kareoke game for PS2 and PS3 that lets you sing to your favourite songs along with their actual videos. The game analyses the pitch of your voice and compares it to the original track. It is an excellent game, and a great party starter.
With Singstar Legends, it features some great hits from the all the years such as: 'Respect,' Life on Mars,' Son of a preacher man, Rocket man, Blue suede shoes, Unchained Melody, Wonderful ... ...has more songs than other singstar games.
THis Singstar is much more suited to older people, as it features a lot of old tracks. However, it still has many classics and quite a few soul songs on it like 'Respect,' and 'Whats love gotta do with it'! Both songs will seriously test you if your a good singer or not! ...

i got this game with my ps2 for my birthday aswell as cars i have only used it abou 6 times so far i only really use it when i have family or friends around . the songs are by people like Tina Turner Sam cook nirvna elton jhon ect. on this game you can listen to yourself sing once you have finished a song or battle it out to see who is the best singer out of you and some friends. its good if you have a party and don't have a karaoke ...
