SINGSTAR

I bought this for my teenagers last year for Xmas it's a game for the play station 2 with microphones. You get is the disc that goes in to play station the USB converter
And two colored microphones one is blue and the other red.
Plug singstar into one of the USB converters on the front of play station 2 plug in microphones in to matching colored holes and then when game has loaded a bright blue light on top of the singstar USB converter will light up to show that its working

The object of the game is to sing along with the words if u like karaoke then you will absolutely love this game! But you have to be able to go as high and as long as the colored bars on screen show.

You can play alone, or in teams or against each other. There are two modes for playing alone one is just simple . . . Sing... where you just pick up the mic choose a song and sing you got three levels to this one easy medium and hard . . . . I have tried the easy and medium not yet on the hard because there is so much you can do with this game not had the chance.

Another game you can play on your own is .... star maker . . . where you have to make yourself a star by singing in different places on the map and creating a buzz so that you get a record deal, you get to open up new songs, and as your ratings go up to superstars open the game up further, move to a posh mansion buy all new gear bit like the Sims, You also get to meet new people and get new challenges some harder than others. You can even listen to yourself once you have finished.

Very simple to use u also need to plug in joy pad so you can move round the map and you will need joy pad for listening to yourself if your brave enough.

There are Party games which is my favorite few of the girls round on a Friday night. Bottle of wine or two
... You can go head to head or play in teams. Here again you can pick whether you want easy medium or hard.

Best of three …….. Goal here is to get the highest points in 3 songs selected which you do

Pass the mic.. . . ..Is also a party game . . . . With different challenges like solos one player from each team go head to head highest scorer wins 4 their team.

Duet same team same song get a combined score but again have to beat the other team.

Battle .. One from each team sing same song same time highest score wins

Keep it up. . . . . . One player starts singing to keep the meter bar half way if not you get kicked off

Risk . . .a player has to get a certain score on a secret song e.g. You don't know what the song is going to be if you get through the round you get double the points then last but not least

Pass the mic . . . every team member has to sing for a set period of time then passes to the next player.

These games a re great more fun as a team and it doesn't matter if your tone deaf it's not about tone!!
My daughter is not a bad singer but my son is tone deaf . . .but yet he can beat her singing Avril lavignes, skater boy!
My personal favorite song is I believe in a thing called love by the darkness only because no one can beat me on that song yet.

You also have freestyle . . .you sing it your way no points or words .. .so you can even make it up as u go along
This is very much along the lines of the eye toy but uses voice recognition instead.

Only real draw back its addictive and after a few hours your throat kills and if like my loveable is tone deaf can hurt your ears too, so I ether play this when no one is here or play with a group of my mates while having a drink. . . . .bit like being in a pub .. .great if you're shy.

I bought this from Argos last year and paid £19.99 but it's also available from play.com you can get so many more titles in it now . . .singstar pop world and sing star party are just two of them

Liberty x just a little bit
Mis teeq scandalous
The darkness I believe in a thing called love
Aha take me on
Pink get the party started
Jamelia superstar
Motorhead ace of spades
George Michael careless whisper
Avril Lavigne skater boy
Petula Clarke downtown
Sophie Ellis Bextor murder on the dance floor
Daniel Bedingfield if you're not the one
Carl Douglas Kung foo fighting
Rick Astley never gonna give you up
Westlife world of our own
Ricky martin livin la vida loca
Lemar 50.50
Madonna like a virgin
Roy Orbinson pretty woman
S club don't stop movin
Deee-lite groove is in the heart
Sugababes round round
Elvis suspicious minds
Busted crashed the wedding
Village people YMCA
Good charlotte girls and boys
Blondie heart of glass
Dido thank you
Atomic kitten eternal flame
Blue one love

There is at least one song there for every body! Great for all ages I promise!
