Want Super Skin then Sk:n is the place to be! 04/03/2008

Advantages The effects were amazing, skin looked smooth and clear afterwards, Non invasive
Disadvantages Quite expensive, effects on last for so long

2008 is here and what better way to start the year than with a Ciao review! Well I must admit I can think of more exciting things that I could be doing but unfortunately I'm at work and I can't do most of them here! At least I can safely tap away on my keyboard, typing up my latest review and it looks like I am working away to everyone else (sneaky eh!) Sk:n Clinic: Laser hair removal 06/06/2010

Advantages Clean, friendly staff, information given, professionalism
Disadvantages Price, Pressure to buy products

So if you've read any of my other reviews I am on a never ending quest to find skin care products and hair removal items that mean little pain and no hair growth. I read about sk:n on the ciao reviews website and was quite concerned with some peoples experiences but I had already booked my appointment so thought I'd head along. Sk:n has been around for apparently 25 plus years but I had never heard of them before. Advantages Swift payment procedure. Package deals. Convenient locations.
Disadvantages Ineffectiveness. False promises. Hard-sell and marketing. Unprofessionalism. Unhygienic

I have had 8 treatments. I was told that 6 treatments would be enough initially. I was told that I was the 'perfect candidate' skin and hair colour wise. They now tell me it should be 12 treatments. I wish I saw your review before as I signed up around the time you put this review. I am also wondering whether Trading Standards are willing to investigate as I do not believe the way they operate to be fair. I just wrote my experience (not a complaint) on the Facebook Sk:n Page for others to see and make a decision. It is right that they know the truth as I wish I had before. Go at your own risk! Acid dripped into my eye and nurse continued with treatment before tending to my eye!! I went to the East Finchley sk:n clinic expecting great results as I suffer from acne scarring. Before attending my appointment, I was sent an information pack about the clinic and procedures that they do. The information was well presented and it made me feel that it was worth paying more to get treatments through the clinic as there are only doctors or nurses who undertook the treatments. Advantages Great clinicians, fantastic rewards system
Disadvantages managing appointments is a bit hit and miss

I joined the Sk:n Clinic in Victoria around July last year when my skin was at it's worse. I had read up on lots of treatments and decided that microdermabrasion was going to save my life! I was wrong. But the clinician did lead me to glycolic peels which have! Of course this isn't a review about singular treatments but the clinics as a whole so i won't go into the treatments. After nearly a year I have to say that I am quite impressed with the clinics. Since joining i have had around 15-20 visits for facials and also started a major hair removal course in November which i was able to take out ... more
