Long term is what all the IFAs kept telling me when I asked them about a multi-fund investment. Two years ago I had some cash that was not doing very well in a bank account so I set about the complex (for me) task of finding out about these multi-funds.
First thing to say is find a good IFA that you can talk to - it certainly made my decision more straightforward. Various funds were talked about but for me, Skandia seemed to have flexibility and a wide range of funds for me to invest in. I also felt secure with the multi-national size of the company.
Their charges are not the cheapest on the market but so far I have been happy with the way they look after my small investment. I have also found their helpline very efficient. The staff were professional and friendly.
