Skoda Fabia 1.9tdi estate
Advantages: Price, economical, comfortable, fast acceleration, vast storage space Disadvantages: None
I bought my first Skoda 5 years ago when I retired from my full time occupation. I had intended to buy a decent second hand model but on visiting the dealer, I was so impressed with the estate version of the 1.9tdi Fabia, that I took the plunge.
Having since had 100% reliability, economical fuel consumption , the added bonus of quick off the mark acceleration for an exceptionally value for money price, I am glad I took the plunge as I have not regretted ... ...the car.
Without doubt Skoda have come on in leaps and bounds over the past few years and not only am I proud to own one, I also have a smile to myself at the badge snobs with their Volkswagen who are paying a few thousand more for more or less the same vehicle as I have but with a different badge and perhaps a little different shape.
I am now wishing the next six months or so away for the launch of the new Fabia 1.9tdi estate in the new year which ...

its a skoda yes, but its also a very good car
Advantages: good fuel consumtion Disadvantages: unfortunatly people shun it because of its brand
...especially if you buy the diesel model. For those of you who watch top gear youll know that this car in a diesel version is of equal capability to the new mini cooper one petrol. Skoda is a fantastic make and this car in particular is a =n excellent run-about. ...

Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI Estate
Advantages: Too many to mention - Price is probably the best Disadvantages: None
...decided to by my 19.tdi Skoda Octavi when after we had our first child. I don;t know what else to say other that thsi is the best car that I have ever owned. I get 60+mpg on the motorway, parts are cheap, the boot is enormous and it is so reliable. It doesn't look that bad either. i would definatley recommend this to anyone!
This car is basically a Volkswagon/Audi without the price ta, the one thing I would possibly be careful of is making sure ... ...car has a decent service history and/or you get the car checked out by somebody that knows a little about cars. Gone are the days when you wiil see epoel pushing there Skoda's along the side of the road with smoke coming out of place it really shouldn't be.
Bring on the sSkod Revolution!!!! ...

Skoda felicia is low cost & reliable, great for first car
Advantages: Spacious, reliable, cheap to run, low insurance Disadvantages: Parts tend to rust
I have owned my Skoda Felicia 1.3 LXi Plus since I was 18 and I am now nearly 23. I love my car, it has been very reliable and very easy to work on as well. The only downside is rust, but then again I had a few bumps in it, so that didn't help. It is a little noisy but with my music on, it fades away into the background. It is quite nippy to say thats its only a 1.3. It is in a low insurance band (Group 5 I think), which makes it perfect for a first ... ...most I think I have got from it is around 38 mpg. Parts are relatively cheap to buy and can be easily fitted yourself with a Haynes manual. For a small car, the interior is quite spacious and as I am at uni, it is perfect for transporting my things from home. One of the main problems that is a common fault with most felicias is that the suspension cups tend to rust, so they require checking but I have only had to change mine once, as it was the originals ...

Unbelieveably economical! Saved me £15 a week on fuel!!
Advantages: 60mpg. Great finance deals (inc. RAC & 3yrs free servicing). Classic and practical. Disadvantages: Can be noisy when windows are open.
The Skoda Fabia 1.4TDI estate is the best car I have ever owned. I had a Skoda Fabia hatchback before and instantly save £15 on fuel alone. It is spacious inside with a stylish and classic internal layout (much like the VW golf). It also comes with a decent stereo. There is plenty of space in the back and boot if you enjoy shopping, lead an active lifestyle, have kids/dogs or all of the above. In addition, it is a smooth and comfortable drive.
If ... ...(although you can adjust them slightly to avoid this). From my point of view this estate is definitely value for money and worth a look. I will not hesitate to upgrade. Unless Skoda take a turn in the wrong direction I am an absolute convert! ...
