Advantages Advantages Performance, Sublte yet sporty looks, Economy and Reliabilty

Disadvantages Disadvantages Suspension Could Do With Being Slightly Stiffer

The Skoda Fabia VRS is Skoda's attempt at making a "Hot Hatch" And it seems to be a very good attempt indeed. Although Skoda have taken a completely different route at entering the "Hot Hatch" market by equiping their Fabia VRS with a DIESEL ENGINE! It does work very well. They were brave enough to take the gamble and it has definately paid off! EXTERIOR STYLING Rather than going for an all-out lairy looking brute, Skoda have kept the styling subtle yet sporty, they have fitted the vRS with a Unique Front bumper which is bigger and slightly more aggressive than the bumpers from the rest of ... more

Advantages Advantages Great MPG. Fun to Drive. Cheap Insurance and Road Tax.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Small boot. Light colour of seat covers

I have owned my Fabia vRS for 6 months. My previous car was an Octavia vRS and I have found 2 main differences: the size of the boot and the Fabia is much cheaper to run. Buying the Fabia has definitely saved me money in the current financial climate I get good MPG, an average trip can be 42mpg but if I watch my driving it can be as much as 50mpg. I can get close to 400 miles out the tank. For a small car there is plenty space in the back. I have 1 toddler seat but regularly have a second in too. With 2 seats in, there is not really any space for a 3rd child. Having 5 doors is definitely an ... more

the fabia vrs the hot hatch with a difference the difference with this hot hatch to all other hot hatches is the engine, its not petrol like you would imagine, yes you guessed its diesel. the first diesel hot hatch on the market, it still has the power of a hot hatch a whole 130bhp and a massive 229ft/lb of torque, it pulls like a train in all 6 gears,(thats right 6 forward gears) the advantage of having 6 gears is not only is it a hot hatch its also a motorway cruiser, best of both worlds eh fuel economy is great 45mpg running round town and upto 60mpg on the motorway,(according to the trip ... more

    Advantages Advantages Power and Economy

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Brand Snobbery

Because the Fabia Vrs is powered by a sports diesel engine instead of the petrol "norm" , it gives this little hatchback huge amounts of in-gear urge, ideal for performing safer over-taking maneuvoers. While the handling is good, its not as good as class leaders, but because of this the excellant comfort of this little car has not been comprimised. The engine can be noisey when cold but it quickly becomes unnoticable with most of the noise in the cabin coming from the noisey michelin tyres on certain road surfaces. Obviously another benefit of being a diesel is the econmomy of the vehicle ... more
