Being a great lover of music I was finding that standard head phones and ear buds just weren't doing the music any justice. The "as standards" often made the music crackle and you would lose part of the songs because of the either over the top, or under used bass. Especially at any decent volume. The other problem was that they would always break and seemed to be made out of nothing but toffee. I'm sure everyone has been left with headphones with only one ear working!
I decided that I wanted a decent pair of head phones but didn't want to be spending out hundreds of pounds for a pair. I initially looked for some wireless ones but a friend tipped me off that Skull Candy made some great headphones that wouldn't break the bank.
After looking around at what Skull Candy had to offer I found that they had a huge range of head phones from ear buds to full size DJ head sets. I picked something in the middle and thats the low riders. They aren't huge but are big enough to stand out and of course the art work and colours really catch your eye. I got them in a green pair and they look amazing. Beautiful bright colour with the logos on most parts. They are just as much of a fashion item as they are a practical item, they really turn heads and everyone has been asking me where I got them from.
As far as comfort goes I've never had a better pair, the ear cups are made from leather as well as the head band so they fit nicely against your head and feel comfortable even after wearing them for a long time. They are adjustable too so there are no worries about them not fitting to your head. The wire is nice and long too so I found it easy to have my MP3 player in the bottom of my bag and not feel like I was being restricted. They are light as well so you don't really notice your wearing them. No more bulky head sets!
The sound quality is also brilliant, I found that even at the hightest level there was no crackling or distortion and the music was crisp and clear. There is no buzz or hum either so you don't lose any of the quieter parts of your music.
Skull Candy produce a lot of their products for extreme sports so they are designed to be strong and last a long time, you can tell that all the joins that enable them to fold up are strong and that they are well made. When you hold them and use them you know you are getting quality and value for money.
I am so pleased with these head phones and think they are great, there are so many colours to chose from that there will be something for everyone.
The only downfall I'd say is that because they are smaller than full size DJ head phones the ear cups are slightly smaller and are against your ear rather than around it, this may let some sound out if you have the volume turned up. If you keep it at a decent volume you'll have no problems if this bothers you.
...so on. The Skullcandy has a great range of quality headphones and most of them are reasonably priced. Now it’s quite pertinent to ask why not go for the best. There are two main factors:a) The price. 2) The necessity of requirement. Bose makes great headphones but their deletion from list of brands is automatic. (On both counts).
At around £26 it’s definitely quality available at a reasonable price. They are designed so intelligently, a high comfort ... ...schemes and a DJ-style swiveling ear cups. They are available in both leather and headband (a bit thicker) and they fit in snugly which eliminates noise and audio spill out. The Lowrider’s 40 mm drives guarantees that much of extra bass without effecting the high frequency spectrum to any noticeable extent. They are foldable, which is a big plus.

I have never been a fan of small, 'in-ear' headphones as they tend to make my ears ache after a short period of time, yet other options have often proved to be equally as uncomfortable, or too large and heavy feeling. ...and the icon also by skullcandy and really glad i chose these. Comfortable to wear, sound is top quality for such a low price when many other brands are into the hundreds on pounds. And ultimately look good even when just worn around the neck.
